Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 20, 2015 Paid Members Posted January 20, 2015 Serious discussion here lads. I dont think there's anyone I'd rather see less than these two. Everything about them is just shite. They both look like they are in mid-transformation into rats like that scene in the Witches movie. A right pair of ugly bastards. They look more like they should be hanging around a refectory in a University with those haircuts. The promos are by far the worst part of their act, though. Absolutely horrendous lines with horrible delivery. They'll say shit like "we are hear to eat faces and ... watch our manners" or something equally as bad. They are as threatening as Low Down. Â I dont mind Road Warriors rip offs. I grew up on them. If you rip off the LOD, you need people the size of Ryback and Mason Ryan. These fuckers, though? I hope they've cut their loses with these two. There's no way they are getting over. I think they should do a weekly angle where they just get beat by a tag team of the past. Like Heath Slater getting beat every week a few years back. There's plenty of them out there. Most tag teams stay together because there is no value on the indy scene when there is one and not the other. They could bring in the Headbangers. Too Cool. X-Pac and Bob Holly. D'Lo and Mark Henry. The Outlaws are still around. Booker T and Stevie Ray are back together. There's legs in the Ascension losing every week.
NorthSeaTiger Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 They are fucking horrific. The Road Warriors and Demolition are my favourites since I was a kid, so to see these morons slag them, even in kayfabe, pisses me off. If they had talent, then maybe I could believe they had a right to say that. But both guys are terrible in the ring. The wee one, Viktor(?), looks the same size as most of his opponents, despite supposed to being an asskicker. The other muppet isn't much better. Their physique is poor too, neither is big, and the big one has slightly sloppy looking tits. Their finisher *should* be good, except it's performed by two guys who are greener than Kermit the Frogs bawbag. Fingers crossed someone realises how turgid they are and they get shitcanned soon. Or they bring back Power Of Pain or Demolition and let them kill them the. Ship them off to the "Wasteland" of some random Indy.
Merzbow Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 They wrestle as if they are green but haven't they both been doing this for time? They've barely got the basics down, how can that even happen? They don't have a single redeeming feature between them which makes me think they've been put on TV for a fucking joke, "hey trips, is this the shit your NXT is pumping out?". Dunn's wretched face is cackling with delight right now.
King Pitcos Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 The've both been wrestling about fifteen years. The big one first signed for WWE ten years ago, but was sacked for a couple of years in between.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted January 20, 2015 Paid Members Posted January 20, 2015 I quite liked them in the safety blanket of NXT. However, they've been exposed in the big time and WWE seem to realise they aren't up to it. Â Their new look is like WWE couldn't be arsed coming up with anything, so they raided the bin Droz tried to puke in and found one of them concept drawings from the mid 90s. A team like Ascension are all about the presentation and they look like idiots.
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted January 20, 2015 Paid Members Posted January 20, 2015 I'm sure they will catch on just as Adam Rose did......
Mattyc Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Dead on arrival. Â I enjoyed them on NXT but it does feel like they've been set up to fail since being called up to the main roster. It's a combination of the burials on commentary and the awful dialogue they've been given in promos that have killed any hopes they had of getting somewhat over. Â
King Pitcos Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I wonder if this will even come out now. Â Â
Liam O'Rourke Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I never liked them in NXT. I'm sure I'm not the only one who saw them and thought that these two guys who don't have good matches, aren't that big, and don't even have the cool entrance, would bomb in front of a virgin crowd. Between Emma, The Ascension and Adam Rose, more people will probably clock on to the fact that getting a reaction in front of Impact Zone-lite crowd doesn't mean anything in the real world - it doesn't mean the act is any good or can get over elsewhere, the fans will cheer anything because they know their role.
The Cutting Edge Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 WWE seem to call up 'the wrong' people Rose had barely fleshed out his character before being chucked on tv, Emma and Bo Dallas are'nt much better but Neville, Zayn, Balor, Breeze are still waiting. Â The Ascension are awful but have'nt been given a chance on tv, such a weird way to book your own talent, if you think they're shit just release them instead of wasting tv time telling everyone how shit they are it seems backwards to me. Â Its a shame I've and I think some others have been waiting for a 'LOD/Demolition' type team to debut for a while but I didnt think it would be like this and dead after there debut

Too far, boss man. Too far.
neil is brill Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I like their entrance music and illuminati titantron video but that's as far as it goes. I fucking hate hate hate their Tatanka mini-skirts and those red triangles painted on them. Â The bigger lad at least looks the part, but the smaller one looks like a Brit-Wres Shitarse version of Adrian Neville. Â Like IAN said, might as well cut their losses and have The Headbangers, Kaientai, Head-Cheese and any other returning team kick their heads in.
King Pitcos Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 WWE seem to call up 'the wrong' people Rose had barely fleshed out his character before being chucked on tv, Emma and Bo Dallas are'nt much better but Neville, Zayn, Balor, Breeze are still waiting. Â The bloke who has been on NXT about three months and doesn't even seem to have a character? Rushing him to the show when he's being outshined by Tyson Kidd on promos would be an awful move, he's nowhere near ready. The Ascension were always going to be shit, so them flopping doesn't matter. Taking someone with actual potential and putting them on Raw when they've yet to find their feet in NXT could be very harmful. It's no good having a nice facepaint entrance planned for WrestleMania when your act week-to-week won't warrant a spot on the big card.
Liam O'Rourke Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Head Cheese might just be the thing that takes Raw back to a 3.5
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted January 20, 2015 Paid Members Posted January 20, 2015 Hey if it gets Steve Blackman back on telly then I'd call The Ascension a complete success in my book.
