bradfordcity
Hi,Any chance you could help? I'm after a good tablet if possible for under £100. The only thing I’m bothered about is watching Videos (Mp4, MKV etc) So want a decent picture, and bigger screen the better. Not bothered about anything else. What would you recommend? WyattSheepMask
If you can stretch to £130, Amazon have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7". Although I really don't see why you need to be watching TV on the bus. You best be using headphones
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted October 20, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 20, 2014 It's like a non-celeb Blankety Blank in here. A shit one, at that. I almost exclusively use my kindle for watching films (with headphones, of course), so I could recommend that. Other than that, and without specific knowledge of that product area, I'd suggest looking at a lot of the deal sites, as they're forever flogging off tablets — shite ones, or defunct, or whatever, but they would probably do the job for what you're wanting. drkopen
Slightly above your price range but kindle fire or huawei media pad m1. Second one is 4g so you can use it out and about.
Merzbow
Keep an eye on here http://www.hotukdeals.com/computers/deals/hot, that Nook HD+ seems to be a decent price if you're only after video playback.
Paid Members herbie747 Posted October 20, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 20, 2014 I got one of these for 'sitting room surfing' for my wife a few months ago - works great. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JABR3A0/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also has HDMI out on, so I can watch UFC Fight Pass events on my TV, etc. Get a 64GB micro SD card too and you're sorted. Handy too for bringing away on holidays and watching movies on the hotel TV. How can you go wrong with a 10.1" tablet for £65, with the best reviews on Amazon for a non-branded model? I've no complaints anyway.

Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted October 21, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 21, 2014 If you can stretch to £130, Amazon have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7". Yeah, good choice. I got mine for about 90 pound though. Damn US keyboard. Sky Go works with it too. Won't work with the tablet Herbie said.
Retro Red
Keep an eye on here http://www.hotukdeals.com/computers/deals/hot, that Nook HD+ seems to be a decent price if you're only after video playback. I've got one of these, and can confirm that they are great for Video playback. It also takes a MicroSD card so can theoretically have 128gb of storage (plus the onboard storage). The issue however with the Nook is that it's got Barnes & Noble's own severely limited version of Android on it. It can be rooted with a normal version of Android without too much hassle though and does function well (if a little slow).
