Moderators PowerButchi Posted October 11, 2014 Moderators Share Posted October 11, 2014 We've all got them, what's yours? I'm currently listening to my main one. Taylor Swift. Especially her late 2000s country pop stuff. You Belong With Me, Love Story, and White Horse are bonafide super tunes and if you don't like them you have no soul. So what's yours? (And you can't say Phil Collins or Genesis as they shouldn't be guilty)
EdgarTheSlouch
Youre so totally right about Genesis fella. Â Anyway Im proud/ashamed to say I have an appreciation of musicals. Phantom, Joseph, Avenue Q, Jesus Christ Superstar (Just not the new version - Rik Mayall's version of King Herod pisses upon that of Chris Moyles )
MoistVaj
Taylor Swift was the first person to spring to mind when I read the topic title. Shake it Off is just an incredible pop tune. So is We Are Never Getting Back Together. Â Katy Perry appears on my iPod more than I would care to admit too. Â Right Said Fred too, Deeply Dippy is probably one of my favourite songs of all time. Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted October 11, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 11, 2014 I do love a good pop song, Perry and Swift are favourites of mine too. Not going to feel guilty about those though. Kid Rock, on the other hand...
Flangedango
Pink. I think she's fucking superb. Probably the only female artist in recent years that I've cared to listen too. Barring the odd Sugababes song. Â Â
Undefeated Steak
Miley Cyrus. I listen to more of her stuff than I'd like to admit.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted October 11, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 11, 2014 I can see that this thread will upset me at some point because someone's going to nominate someone that's genuinely good and I'm going to tell them to fuck off. Â Taylor Swift's new song is absolutely brilliant. I also really like that Rita Ora one - I Will Never Let You Down, is it? Â I've also been listening to a lot of Starship lately and I absolutely bloody love We Built This City and I don't even care who knows it.
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted October 11, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 11, 2014 Everybody considers 'We Built This City' to be a classic, don't they?! It absolutely is. Never really seen Starship mentioned in a 'guilty pleasure' conversation.

Never really seen Starship mentioned in a 'guilty pleasure' conversation. Â Well, considering all the twats that routinely put it in polls for being the worst song ever, I just thought I'd mention it anyway. But I'm clearly in a better class of company here, Arch <
d-d-d-dAz
Michael Buble. Genuinely love listening to his tunes when I want to chill out. Â I think the last time I admitted this on here, someone put me on to Harry Connick Jr and now he's up there too. Â I don't mind Nickelback either. Â I should stop. I've gone too far. Jon-Carr_92
I'm a massive fan of The Saturdays. Would they count? I was in my Metalhead phase when I got into them.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted October 11, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 11, 2014 Scooter. They're shit, right? Really terrible in fact. However...I find their music so infectious. From their nonsensical lyrics to their hooks, I can't get enough. Â I absolutely despise most of the Euro commercial dance stuff from 2001/02, and although Scooter are the best example of how bad the shite was at the time (others include Lasgo, Milk Inc and Fragma post-Toca Me), their stuff just makes me smile. Â I also can't stand musicals that are based on music acts, it's just plain lazy. But I'd love a Scooter musical, just to see how they'd manage to tie-in characters such as the man in the ice cream van and Dave (who's on the train). Paid Members WWFChilli Posted October 11, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted October 11, 2014 Nothing wrong with Starship. Â I do love my naff 80s/early 90s hair metal bands. I reckon Nelson, Damn Yankees and Firehouse qualify for this thread.
