Paid Members Quentin Posted August 15, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 15, 2014 Gene's voice is like caramel and scotch. That was great.
Loligan
This is thread worthy. Simply the best thing I've seen in years. If wwe was like this I'd spend more money on it. The music, the graphics, all immediately awesome.

Paid Members Kaz Hayashi Posted August 16, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 16, 2014 I know, when Gene said it I became instantly wide eyed, never mind. Can only dream. Loved the addition of the music, quality little segment. It's got to be the way they do things from now on.

Paid Members PunkStep Posted August 16, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 16, 2014 It's insane that he's a million times better than anyone they've had since, well, him. Maybe he doesn't want to, but he should do so much more in WWE. That's not being biased because I grew up watching him, he's that bloody good still. Pier Six Brawler
They should never have stopped doing these for PPVs. How do you expect people to part with their hard earned cash for PPVs/the Network if they don't know who's going to be wrestling and why they hate each other? Paid Members JNLister Posted August 16, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 16, 2014 It may just be coincidence, but it looked to me like Renee had a necklace based on the Winged Eagle title belt.

I don't think this video was the first time any SummerSlam matches were announced.

The King Of Swing
If they ever do an old school Royal Rumble video with Vince shouting the entrants my Head might explode from the awesome. Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted August 17, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 17, 2014 The inaugural SummerSlam was held on a Monday. Was there a reason for that? I thought pay-per-views always happened on a Sunday (with the exception of Tuesday in Texas)?
Paid Members JNLister Posted August 17, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted August 17, 2014 No, it took years before Sunday was standard. WrestleMania was normally on a Sunday (2 was Monday) but SummerSlams were usually Monday, some early Rumbles were Saturdays and Survivor Series was Thursday at first (Thanksgiving) then Wednesdays. Â I believe it was 1995 when Sunday became standard, which I assume fit it with them going to monthly PPVs.
