Syl Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I have just heard a rumour that All-Star Wrestling's Brian Dixon will be retiring next year, and that the promotion will be closing/not running hall shows any more (maybe carry on with the holiday circuit). Does anyone know if this is the case? If true, it will leave a huge hole in the BritWres scene! Â I believe their next show in Croydon isn't until October, and the Fairfield Hall shows are the only ones I go to now (not the LDN ones though- went once, and it was generally rotten).
Paid Members gadge Posted July 14, 2014 Paid Members Posted July 14, 2014 They don't run Croydon in the summer. though they did recently announce they had once again got exclusive wrestling use of the venue.
cobystag Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 With Dixon's daughter and Dean Allmark left to HHH/Steph All Star when Brian's gone, would why he close up shop?
tony1234 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 They've already booked shows running well into next year
Syl Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 I thought the same about the Allmarks, but my 'informant' (haha) seemed adamant that the last All-Star shows would be March/April next year. I hope this is not the case! Â Gadge- Sorry, I meant that I would not be able to ask Brian until October, as I won't be going to any shows until then (have been going to Croydon for 20 years!)
Paid Members gadge Posted July 14, 2014 Paid Members Posted July 14, 2014 GET YOUR PROGRAMMES! TWO POUNDS! Â Croydon~!
ClassicsGuy Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Personally, I can't see Brian closing up shop. He'll just hand over the reigns to Dean and Letita. I can't even imagine Brian retiring; he's like Vince McMahon. He'll slow down a bit but he'll have his hand in, in some fashion, until he passes away.

Moderators PowerButchi Posted July 14, 2014 Moderators Posted July 14, 2014 All Star is going nowhere.
theoriginalpinhead Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 All Star is going nowhere. Â Â you are wrong there - its going for 45 YEARS as the longest running Promoters -
