Paid Members Big Benny HG Posted June 26, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted June 26, 2014 I'm planning on popping along to this one. Â The debut 'War of the Roses' event was good fun and, at around 1hr 45min long with no interval, it was an easy watch. I described it as like watching an All-Star Wrestling show in a nightclub. It had a simple, basic Yorkshire vs. Lancashire theme that was immediately understandable and easy to get into, with clear good guys and bad guys. Â Most of the audience appeared to be linked to the GRAPPLE group which runs local shows featuring their own trainees (which I don't think is related to GrappleGays...) and at around 100 was a bit on the low side, but there was a good atmosphere throughout and I enjoyed it. I said I'd be back if they ever ran again, and I'm glad there's more local wrestling without me having to go to the north-west or south-east as usual. Â Lineup looks splendid with some of the very best in the UK.
