Tozawa and Shingo qualified for a DGUK title match, and Marty Scurll was banished for a -5 record, correct?

Yeah, that's what I loved about that weekend, the strong feeling of "identity" that DG:UK was managing to build even with the gaps between shows. Tozawa and Shingo establishing themselves as the big players and the climax of the slow burning story between Haskins and Marty, great stuff. Well OK, the beer helped.

TODAY'S KOBE WORLD SPOILERS BELOW!

Rich Swann: This would prove to be his last show affiliated with Dragon Gate as he never returned to Japan. Won the formerly DG USA Open The United Gate Titles with Johnny Gargano in April 2015 but the two split up when Swann turned heel, never lost the tag belts and Swann won their match before signing to the WWE. Made a few NXT appearances but is now in the Cruiserweight Classic.

Uhaa Nation: Was defeated by Ricochet in an attempt at DG USA's Open The Freedom Gate Championship in September 2014. Won Preston's Heavyweight Championship in November over Dave Mastiff and Chris Masters and made one successful defense over Michael Elgin. His last tour with Dragon Gate ended in an unsuccessful attempt at BxB Hulk's Open The Dream Gate Championship in March 2015. Lost the Preston belt back to Masters that same month as he'd signed to the WWE. Debuted with NXT in August. Went undefeated in singles until a loss to Baron Corbin in London in December. Debuted on the Raw after Mania this year. Seems to be doing alright for himself right now.

BxB Hulk: July 2014 saw him as the Open The Dream Gate Champion. "Lost" the belt in a gauntlet match to Mad Blankey/Naruki Doi in August, but the belt was held up due to cheating. A PPV singles match saw Hulk made his first successful defense (The rule was that if Doi won, the title change would have been official. If Hulk won, his reign would go uninterrupted). Formed Dia Hearts with Masaaki Mochizuki and Dragon Kid, Big R Shimizu was added later and Kzy after him. Defeated Cyber Kong, Tozawa, Shingo, Susumu, Uhaa, Cyber again before losing the belt to Yoshino in June 2015. Went out injured in October, Dia Hearts were disbanded in February and he only returned to the ring in May. Tribe Vanguard was formed of BxB, YAMATO, Kzy that same month with Yokosuke Santa Maria and Flamita to follow.

Masato Yoshino: Yoshino and Syachihoko Boy won the Open The Twin Gate belts from Cyber Kong and YAMATO in March 2015. They defended them against Jimmy Susumu & Jimmy Kagetora, Masaaki Mochiku & Big R Shimizu, and then Yoshino won King Of Gate 2015 besting T-Hawk in the finals. Doi & YAMATO defeated Yoshino & Boy on the 13th of June, however the next day Yoshino beat Hulk for the Dream Gate in what took many by surprise to become a three time champion. He defeated T-Hawk at July's Kobe World but was attacked by his Monster Express team mate Shingo at the next show. Shingo split from ME to form VerseK and took the belt from Yoshino in August. He and T-Hawk were turned away from a Twin Gate challenge by Doi & YAMATO in November. Yoshino, Tozawa & T-Hawk won the vacant Triangle Belts in December against Doi, YAMATO & Shingo in a tournament final. Defending them in a four-way elimination match against Jimmyz, VerserK and Dia Hearts at Final Gate, Monster Express survived disbanding in a three way lost by Dia Hearts that also involved VerserK in Feb. Yoshino, Tozawa and T-Hawk made their fifth successful defense today at Kobe World.

CIMA: CIMA, Gamma and Don Fuji as We Are Team Veteran Return won the Open The Triangle Gate belts from Mad Blankey's Naruki Doi, Cyber Kong and Kzy in October 2014, but lost them to the Jimmyz team of Jimmy Susumu, Ryo Jimmy Saito & Genki Horiguchi HAGeeMee 10 days later. CIMA & Gamma bounced straight back and beat T-Hawk and Eita for the Twin Gate belts in early November. However We Are Team Veteran Returns was dissolved in an eight-man tag four days later and T-Hawk & Eita took the Twin Gate belts back by early December. CIMA then began to align himself with Mad Blankey in January, also taking Gamma, Don Fuji and K-Ness along to the darkside with him. After losing his hair in May's annual mask vs hair six way cage match, CIMA and his friends repented and left Mad Blankey. CIMA, Gamma & Fuji won the Triangle Gate belts again in June 2015 from the same Jimmyz team that beat them (With a Dia Hearts run in the middle) and would defend them four times until November before vacating the belts without ever losing them. CIMA, Gamma, Eita, Punch Tominaga, El Lindaman, Kaito Ishida & Takehiro Yamamura formed Over Generation, CIMA wanting to mentor the youngsters this time around. He unsuccessfully challenged Shingo for the Dream Gate at Final Gate 2015. Dragon Kid eventually became an OG in April and American Peter Kasaa joined in June.

Naruki Doi: "Won" the Open The Dream Gate Championship from BxB Hulk in a gauntlet match in August, but the decision was up-held. Lost the deciding singles match a few weeks later. Held the Triangle Gate belts with Cyber Kong and Kzy from June until October. Was unsuccessful trying to get those belts back with different partners against different teams three more times. Doi & YAMATO won the Twin Gate Belts in June 2015. Defended them against Ricochet & Matt Sydal and Jimmy Susumu & Ryo Jimmy Saito, Mad Blankey disbanded the Millenials in a three-way also involving the Jimmyz in August. Mad Blankey themselves were split up as a result of losing a ten man elimination tag team match just 10 days later against the Jimmyz. Doi & YAMATO defeated T-Hawk and the newly turned heel Dream Gate Champion, Shingo and as a result early formations of VerserK was born of Shingo, YAMATO, Doi & Cyber Kong with Kotoka and Mondai Ryu. Doi & YAMATO lost in the Summer Tag League finals against Jimmy Susumu & Jimmy K-Ness JKS, but managed to defeat them when the Twin Gates were on the line in the rematch. Beat Dragon Kid & Flamita, Yoshino & T-Hawk, Mochizuki & Fuji, Gamma & Punch, Horiguchi & Saito, for a record breaking 9 defenses before being beaten by T-Hawk and Big R Shimizu in March 2016. The team of YAMADoi came to an end in May's mask vs hair six-way cage match between all members of VerserK as in-fighting had lead to this match. YAMATO was going to be turned on by the rest of VerserK however just when it looked like Doi would save him, he betrayed YAMATO. Doi and YAMATO did both escape the cage with their hair. He and brother YASSHI were unsuccessful in taking the Twin Gate belts from Susumu & Kagetora today.

YAMATO: Had just lost the Dream Gate Championship to BxB Hulk five days before DG UK X. YAMATO & Cyber Kong defeated T-Hawk & Eita at Final Gate 2014 for the Twin Gate belts, however lost them to Yoshino & Boy in February. YAMATO & Doi beat them however in June 2015 to begin a 267 day reign with the most successful title defenses out of any other tag team to hold those belts covered more in Doi's write up. Their reign survived the death of Mad Blankey and the birth of VerserK. However after losing those belts to T-Hawk and Shimizu in March there were two months worth of in-fighting in VerserK and friendly fire being exchanged between YAMATO and Shingo all too often. YAMATO was eventually kicked out of the group at the Dead Or Alive 2016 cage match but rebounded quickly by forming Tribe Vanguard as mentioned earlier in BxB Hulk's write up. YAMATO won King Of Gate 2016 defeating Tozawa in the semis and Big R Shimizu in the finals. Today he became a four time Open The Dream Gate Champion by defeating Shingo at Kobe World.

Jimmy Susumu: Susumu & Jimmy Kagetora defeated Twin Gate Champions T-Hawk & Eita in the finals of the 2014 Summer Tag League, however failed in their challenge for the belts in the rematch. Susumu, Saito & Horiguchi won the Triangle Gate belts in October from CIMA, Gamma & Fuji. They made two defenses over two different Mad Blankey teams before losing the belts to Dia Hearts (Mochizuki, Dragon Kid & Shimizu). Susumu won a one-night tournament over Shimizu in Jan 2015 for a future Dream Gate challenge but failed to defeat BxB Hulk in Feb. The Jimmyz took back the Triangle Belts from Dia Hearts at the end of March and made another two defenses before losing them to CIMA, Gamma & Fuji. The circle of life and all that. The Jimmyz survived two unit disband matches in August 2015 seeing the end of the Mellinials and Mad Blankey. Susumu and Jimmy K-Ness JKS won the 2015 Summer Tag League against reigning Twin Gate Champions, Doi & YAMATO but much like the year before, did not win the belts in the rematch. Susumu shocked everyone however when he defeated Shingo for the Dream Gate Championship on Valentines Day 2016, however would lose it straight back to him in a March rematch. Susumu & Kagetora would finally claim the Twin Gate belts after defeating T-Hawk and Shimizu in June, their third reign together and first after four years. They defeated Doi and brother YASSHI today.

Akira Tozawa: The man who should be king but for whatever maddening reason isn't right now. Lost a Dream Gate challenge to BxB Hulk in November 2014. Defeated Kzy for the Brave Gate Championship in 2015 to finally win his first singles title in Dragon Gate. Held it for 246 days defeating Flamita, Kotoka, Dragon Kid, K-Ness, Eita, Punch & Super Shisa in a three-way before losing the belt to Kotoka in a three-way also involving Noaki Tanizaki. Won the Triangle Gate belts with Yoshino & T-Hawk in December 2015 and have so far held them for 232 days seeing off all challenges including a three-way elimination match at today's Kobe World. As one of the stand outs of Dragon Gate USA & UK, Tozawa now makes rare non-Japanese appearances with two for PWG in July 2015 & January 2016 (Against Ricochet and Zack Sabre Jnr respectively) but is now part of WWE's Cruiserweight Classic leaving many to think his time with Dragon Gate may be coming to an end before he can ever become Dream Gate Champion.

Ricochet: Going into this show he was already a former Dream Gate Champion, New Japan BOSJ 2014 winner and then DG USA Freedom Gate Champion. Ricochet would defend the Freedom Gate Championship against Matt Sydal and win PWG's Battle Of Los Angeles all in August. He debuted with Lucha Underground as Prince Puma, the guy LU was going to be based around. He retained the Freedom Gate against Uhaa Nation in September and won the Lucha Underground Championship in a 20 man Aztec Warfare filmed in October (aired later) and then retained against Fenix in his first defense. He lost the Freedom Gate Championship in China of all places against the man he originally won it from, Johnny Gargano, in November. He also lost his challenge against PWG World Heavyweight Champion, Kyle O'Reilly in December. In LU he retained the belt over Cage and King Cuerno. In the UK he lost to Marty Scurll for the RevPro British Heavyweight Championship. He beat Drago, Hernandez, Johnny Mundo and Chavo Guerrero Jnr before finally losing the belt to Mil Muertes in the first season finale of LU. Making a return to Dragon Gate in June 2015, his to date last(?) tour ended with him and Matt Sydal unsuccessfully challenging Doi & YAMATO for the Twin Gate belts at least years Kobe World. Unsuccessful in a second attempt at New Japan's IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship in August, this time against KUSHIDA, he seemingly joined the New Japan roster full time in October when he and Matt Sydal won the 2015 Super Junior Tag League. In Lucha Underground's second season he teamed with Rey Mysterio & Dragon Azteca to win and lose the LU Trios titles. Ricochet & Sydal didn't win the IWGP Jnr Tag belts at WrestleKingdom, The Young Bucks beating former champs reDRagon in a four-way also involving Roppongi Vice. However the defeated The Young Bucks to win the belts in a February three-way also involving reDRagon, lost them to Roppongi Vice in April, won them back in May to become two time champions and then lost them again to The Young Bucks in June in a rematch of the WrestleKingdom four way. Phew. No matter as he, Sydal and Satoshi Kojima just defeated The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega to become the new NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Champions. Oh he and Will Ospreay also had a match during this years BOSJ that broke the internet and really pissed off Vader.

Well that's the DG talent from last years tour....
