Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted March 2, 2014 Author Awards Moderator Share Posted March 2, 2014 From what I've just been reading on the Telegraph site, it sounds like Leto's got the edge over Fassbender because he's really good at the campaigning side of things, whereas Fassbender apparently soured on that stuff after he did the rounds for Shame and got nothing out of it. Plus the fact he's been shooting Macbeth over here all month, which probably makes attending luncheons in LA a bit difficult.

The Cum Doctor
I need to learn to trust my instincts more. Was only on two so I'm not sure what difference it makes, but I'm pretty raging at myself for not getting them. Those being production design and the actor award. The latter being even more annoying as part of me KNEW McConaughey was taking it.
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted March 3, 2014 Author Awards Moderator Share Posted March 3, 2014 I only got about half of the categories right but there were no winners I was unhappy about. Â Â I've tallied up the results, anyway, and of the 9 participants (just like the 9 Best Picture nominees!) I got the following results. Please correct me if I'm wrong: Â LaGoosh: 11 Me / Shy Dad / niff / SpearCode: 12 Textonly: 15 The Cum Doctor: 16 ultimo the great: 18 Â And the Oscar goes to... Â Lion_of_the_Midlands, with 20 correctly predicted winners! Â Congratulations LotM, I'm sure you have many people to thank. Your A list friends are all very happy for you, but there's one special guest who doesn't seem as pleased: Â

Paid Members niff Posted March 3, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2014 Anyone else seeing Batista at the front on that last one? Congrats Lion wow I hope you had some bets on for those, I really thought I was doing well! It was an enjoyable Oscars to watch. Pink in particular was just amazing singing Over the Rainbow. As fr the awards, McConaughey did a good job in DBC but you can't help feeling DiCaprio will win an Oscar for his next role to make up for this. Leto stole the show in BDC. I was really pleased in particular for Jonze - Her was brilliantly written.
