Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted January 15, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2014 Amazing innings from Mae, 91 is a hell of an age to reach, must be near 150 in 'wrestler' years. That line made me smile. Â Very sad news, shame about the muddle up of information coming out over the past few days, with other wrestlers tweeting RIP messages before she passed. Â You won't see another woman like her, that's for sure.
RIDDUM_N_STYLE
Sad day, really wanted her to live long enough to have that match for her 100th. You will never, ever see a 70+ year old take the types of bumps Mae did again. R.I.P to a tough old lady
Paid Members Carbomb Posted January 15, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 15, 2014 You will never, ever see a 70+ year old take the types of bumps Mae did again. Â Dunno, depends on if Ric Flair gets married and divorced again. Â Â Â But yes - I was always astounded by Mae Young. Won't lie, there were the odd times when I could've done without her on TV, but for the most part she was entertaining as hell. Also, in a lot of her interactions with Vince, she tended to bring out the best in his performances, I think. I'll always remember being rather nauseated when they did that skit where she snogged his face off; when Regal reacted with disgust to Vince's admission that he was turned on by it, Vince asked him if he'd never heard the proverb that "old chicken makes the best soup". Gag. And laugh. Â RIP to a tough old bird. Going off what Blassie said also, she sounded like a right class act.
