Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2014 Horrible news if true.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 9, 2014 That's a shame. Heard nothing but good things about her. Obviously a good sport as well. Â In tribute, watch this lovely video of her talking to Vince like my Nana used to talk to me. Really sweat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxaN4WwDUa4
Paid Members Maverick Posted January 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 9, 2014 Always loved seeing her pop on WWE TV, she certainly seemed to love the business. Telling that Vince seemed to hold her in high regard.
Paid Members eugenespeed Posted January 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 9, 2014 Just reading this on Twitter. Sad news if it is indeed confirmed.
Paid Members WWFChilli Posted January 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 9, 2014 If true an absolute shame, but good god what an innings. She was absolutely fearless too, some of the bumps she took during her VERRRY late WWF career were hard going for a regular roster member nevermind an 80 year old. Back in her day she could handle herself pretty well apparently. After hearing about it, I really wanted her to hit a century.
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted January 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 9, 2014 She had some life in her early days. Somebody should make a movie of it. Â Come on now Mae! Fight it!
Paid Members quote the raven Posted January 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 9, 2014 Probably the toughest women in wrestling history. Â God speed Mae
The Invisible Boy
Very sad news if true, Mae Young truly is, along with Moolah, one of the greatest women in wrestling ever. And yeah, some of the bumps she took as an older lady were just incredible, a 60/70+ year old lady just shouldn't be able to do things like that. Â Hopefully if it's not true she'll pull through but sadly I think it's looking more and more likely that she hasn't got long left now.
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted January 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 9, 2014 How can you not love an 80 odd year old woman who goes through a table? True legend. Hope the best for her whatever way it goes.
Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted January 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2014 Aw, Mae's brilliant  Here's one of my favourite things ever. At the height of the Attitude Era, Mae and Moolah went on Conan. It's the most insane interview of all time, with Moolah completely exasperated as she tries, and fails, to get Mae to behave herself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm4onR3L-3k
Paid Members FLips Posted January 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 9, 2014 It's one of those things where it's been expected for so long that I didn't think it'd really hit me, but it really is a horrible shame. I think because she was so human, it's not a roid death or a suicide and she's just some kind, frail old woman on life support.

Paid Members JNLister Posted January 9, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 9, 2014 My favourite "how old is Mae Young" trivia is that she was working Memphis the night of Pearl Harbour.
