RIDDUM_N_STYLE
Sad day for football, the man was a true legend in every sense of the word. On a side note the title of this thread could be a little bit classier could it not?

Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 5, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 5, 2014 733 goals in 745 appearances. Now that is the definition of a footballing legend. Is this stat real or is it one of those Pele things where he counts friendlies and games against his son in the garden?
Guy Bifkin
He was like Pele, only he could maintain an erection. Â RIP.
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted January 5, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 5, 2014 To give an bit of an idea what he meant to Benfica, I went to my grandfather-in-law's to get a lift to the shops, and he didn't want to because his 'brother' Eusebio was dead. Watched the Portuguese channel with him instead, even little kids were in tears.
RIDDUM_N_STYLE
No. It's not disrespectful or overwrought. Â I meant in comparison to the other death thread, about the Everly brother. Makes Eusebio's death sound worse if you get me, like Phil Everly's was more note worthy to put dies than a legendary footballer
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 6, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted January 6, 2014 Sky aired a Eusebio special yesterday afternoon (an old one), but he was some player. Seemed to be playing at a different speed to everyone else. It showed some highlights of his on-pitch battles with Nobby Styles, crikey football was a different sport back in the day wasn't it? Styles kicked lumps out of the man. Â My first ever knowledge of Eusebio came back when i was in Junior school, me and a mate did a history of football project, and Eusebio was one of the guys we covered. Â RIP
