kev2050
What's happening in your area? Looks like it's getting pretty severe with a lot of flooding expected. 1 man killed so far due to a lorry blowing over. Â I live on a new housing development, so there's a lot of stuff blowing about and fences down, but no major damage done as far as I'm aware. Â Hope everyone is staying safe! Richie Freebird
High drama on the North West coast as Barrow's town Christmas tree blows over and several cast iron bins are uprooted in the town centre. My mate claims he was "nearly blown off the bridge" at dinnertime, he says he was thrown "over a meter" completely out of control and into the railings of the bridge. My other mate from our neighbouring Island is scared to walk home across another bridge to go home after work today. Â I hope the trains are running on time in the North West tomorrow. I've got a Vader match to see!
Paid Members Nostalgia Nonce Posted December 5, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2013 A couple of trees have been uprooted here, and wheelie bins that were emptied this morning are now roaming the streets like stampeding cattle. It sounds as though I might have lost a few roof tiles too.
Paid Members MichaelScarn Posted December 5, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2013 Sea is rough here in Sweden, on the coast. I got blown (not in a good way matron) all over the place on my luchtime walk. Â Oh, Nonce, what got you to have the Van Damme stunt on your sig? You don't work for Volvo do you? Didn't realise how 'viral' it had gone.

Didn't realise how 'viral' it had gone. That's not Van Damme, that's me. It's a variation on my Facebook banner picture, which started out life as this:   And with a dab of Photoshop became this:   I then made the Christmas version out of it for on here, realised afterwards that I should have done a FB sized version while I was at it, and then had to make a winter version of it again.   Anyway, to bring things back on topic, here's the Mersey flooding over into the area by the Museum. Get your wellies on, Frankie.
Rey_Piste
I'm in the south west and it's not too bad, a little bit windy and drizzly and that's it.

Paid Members Nostalgia Nonce Posted December 5, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2013 We've just had our first death announced. Bloke taking a walk through the park had a tree land on him.
dangerously420
Back garden is a mess. I don't live in a built up area so where I live I'm more exposed to the elements. There is a farm on the other side of my garden fence and some of the plastic chairs have managed to blow over the fence into the field so needing to get the boots on to recover the chairs. Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted December 5, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted December 5, 2013 Daily Mail Online stuck up a video of trees being uprooted in Glasgow done by me without my permission today. Had it up all day and just now asking permission via my email account. Don't like them snooping on me. Â (Daily Mail)...Scroll Down to "Trees Uprooted in Glasgow" Â Unbelievable weather this morning. Saw somebody nearly deck it due to the wind this morning. Â My mate claims he was "nearly blown off the bridge" at dinnertime Wouldn't be surprised Richie. I was nearly blown off the Erskine Bridge a few years back. Wind twisted me around and blew me from the back (kinky). It was a very odd feeling. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted December 5, 2013 Moderators Share Posted December 5, 2013 You gonna tell them to take it down, bAz? Â Â This is pretty nuts. I didn't realise the weather was getting this bad.. After the wolf cry weather warning we had a few weeks back I just ignored the news.
