Results from Scunthorpe on 24th October:

1. Max Moran beat T.J. Stomper after a Spear to win the right to face American Avalanche later in the night.

2. Deano beat Tony Spitfire in a World of Sport style exhibition which I really enjoyed, but the intricate holds & counterholds were mostly lost on the young audience. You could have heard a pin drop.

3. Hiro Takahashi beat Tyson T-Bone

4. Max Moran beat American Avalanche

5. El Ligero & Kenbai beat Nathan Cruz & AJ (Anderson?)

Noticably bigger crowd than when they were here back in March which is encouraging and they were really into Max Moran & El Ligero.

No Cassandro?

No. I looked at the All-Star website on Wednesday and they had a much different lineup for the shows in Skegness (Weds), Scunthorpe (last night) and somewhere else (tonight) than we got last night. Cassandro was the star name scheduled to appear.

In the programme they have a black & white insert with the lineup specific to the show and even that was different to what we got.

Cassandro wasn't on that sheet to start with, and I'm assuming as Max Moran did double-duty somebody didn't turn up.

Two of modern day wrestlings most popular stars Dean Allmark and James Mason met in front of Croydon';s biggest crowd of the year this afternoon for the Supersam title. They were treated to a bout that showed that the fans of today still enjoy a match within the rules with both the current number one Deano and former champion Mason puling out all the stops with each countering each others moves and the two who have regularly been tag team partners got a standing ovation with the belt staying with the Stoke born champion. Such was the match that both have agreed and will be asking the promoters for a rematch under British rules (ie 12 rounds) hopefully at the next big Croydon show (December 8th) when the halls longest serving promoters return with a Christmas special with kids going free. Other matches saw TJ Stomper gain another victor in his quest up the rankings this time over Kent campaigner Danny Driscoll. A spectacular tag match saw the Japanese stars Hiromou Takahashi and the masked sword dancer Kenbai gain a very popular win over Robbie Dynamite and Jack Hammer . Erin Angel beat Miss Portsmouth and to bring the show to a spectacular close the
