Fog Dude
Apologies Fog_Dude I was unaware of it, im still getting my head around the d2d to be honest please see my amended post I have now placed it as a Swansea 2-1 win. There's no need to apologise. The most important part of my previous post was "it's not against the rules". Plus, at least a couple of people have already bet on their D2D game as a draw, and there have been swerves like this in previous seasons. So, bet however you want. Then again, it really would be sneaky to change your pick again at 2:59pm*, so you're probably best leaving it as it is for now. *I know it doesn't kick off until 5:30, but editing your post after 3 o'clock would void most of your picks. Fog Dude
No its okay Fog Dude I will leave it as the ammended 2-1 win to Swansea, I didnt want to play underhanded or anything even if it isnt against the rules. I am really enjoying and having fun playing this game thanks for arranging the game for us. You see, now I sort of feel guilty because your original bet was spot on. However, it was worth the gamble changing it, because if the result had gone The Jacks' way, they'd have earned you 42 bonus points and put you well clear at the top. If you'd left your pick as it was, you'd have 3 more points for the exact score plus a handful of bonuses (a few people went for a draw in that fixture), but you wouldn't have gone top anyway. Anyway, before we get to the other matches - on a general point, the results went into the original post on Monday morning, because I had a milestone family birthday do to attend for the second Sunday running. The table however, was only uploaded after the usual cut-off point of midnight on Tuesday, and I admit there's no great excuse for that. I didn't expect to be slacking this early in the season, especially as I'm in theory less busy than I was last year. In all the confusion, I've forgotten to mention thus far that, even though the D2D didn't work out for Vegeta, we do in fact have a new leader. The Ratt was one of 4 joint lowest scorers on 7 points, and Lawz could only go one better, so he missed a chance to overtake him. Instead it was MVP RULZ who stormed up to take the lead by a single point. His haul wasn't the most impressive of the round though, as BushwhackerDel leapt into 4th with a whopping 20 points, while on-form TildeGuy~ is now sniffing around the chasing pack, having become second-highest scorer with an excellent 18-point performance. In a high-scoring week, the gap at the wrong end of the standings widened to 16 points, as hallicks' nearest challenger could only manage a normally-respectable 7, which this time out is enough to make him another of those equal worst scorers. The remarkable scoring was helped by the fact that 21 participants rightly disagreed with Vegeta, but that only partly explains it. Cardiff's win at Fulham and West Ham's reverse at Hull caught a few people out, while the scoreline in Liverpool's victory at the Stadium of Light on Sunday was the least easy to foresee, but a lot of players still guessed it. I'm not going to go through the Championship or Italian matches individually, since they all basically proved very fruitful, as did Saints' routine home triumph against Palace. The total lack of draws was also a big factor, but most astonishing of all is that Man City's three second-half brainfarts made their shock loss at Aston Villa a dud game. Since this is already very late, the new thread will be up sharpish.
