PAID Promotions debuted at the Globe Arena, home of League 2 football club Morecambe FC, on Sunday August 25 with Battle of the Brits, a controversial night as Johnny Phere awarded himself the championship belt and then destroyed Stixx with a piledriver, injuring 'The Heavyweight House of Pain's neck after he defeated Craig Kollins to become number one contender...then continued his attack in the dressing room before branding him by writing LIAR on his back in black marker pen.

Johnny Phere's rampage continued on September 14 when PAID Promotions debuted at The Legion in Fleetwood, as he attacked his old GPW rival Ricky J McKenzie after RJM had upset Cyanide, once again 'spreading the brand' by making a LIAR out of RJM. Phere and his manager Greg 'The Truth' Lambert then stacked the odds against title challenger Dangerous Damon Leigh by forcing him to wrestle twice in one night. DDL valiantly survived a four-way match but was unable to overcome the fresher Psychotic Warrior in the main event and went down bravely by tap out. Only the returning RJM saved DDL from being branded too...

Having injured Stixx and made DDL tap, Johnny Phere's ego is spiralling out of control and has now selected another opponent, another 'British Wrestling favourite' who he claims he will defeat to prove he is better than those who are rated more highly by the LIARS within the British Wrestling community. His opponent for Outburst is Bubblegum, his former training partner and one of British Wrestling's very best.

Phere and Bubblegum came up through the ranks together at the Camp of Pain in Stoke, but now some would say Bubblegum has surpassed Phere on the UK scene. The champion however continues to claim he is the Best in Europe and having set up his own wrestling promotion, is using the power of being in charge to seize the stage he believes he has been denied for so long, and wants to add Bubblegum's name to his list of victims to prove his greatness.

Ricky J McKenzie and Craig Kollins battled to a 15-minute time limit draw in a really good opener

PAID Promotions Champion 'Psychotic Warrior' Johnny Phere and his manager Greg 'The Truth' Lambert) hosted a twisted 'game show' style segment called The Lie Detector. They had three 'contestants', three very young, nervous trainees, sitting on chairs in the ring. Lambert asked each of them a question and if they gave an answer #PhereTheTruth didn't like, they would be branded 'Liars' and would face the consequences. The first two trainees suffered a pasting at the hands of Phere, and the third trainee would have surely suffered the same fate had Bubblegum not run in and clothes lined the champ over the top rope!

'Edinburgh Elite' Ryan Grayson scored a massive upset win over 'Dangerous' Damon Leigh, making DDL tap to the Edinburgh Dungeon armlock after Serenity interfered and joined forces with Grayson.

The Creeper pinned 'Delicious' Danny Hope with a Creeper Bomb.

Jon Aggro and 'Mr Big' Shaun Vasey defeated 'The Loner' Rossion and Chris Ridgeway when Aggro pinned Ridgeway with the Dambuster. Rossion wanted no part of this match, having no interest in being in a team!

'Psychotic Warrior' Johnny Phere pinned Bubblegum in an outstanding No DQ match after a Ram Slam on a chair. Afterwards #PhereTheTruth branded Bubblegum by writing 'LIAR' in black marker pen on his back. Phere was about to piledrive Bubblegum but was distracted when a message from the number one contender Stixx played on the big screen. Stixx vowed revenge on Phere for injuring his neck at Battle of The Brits and told the fans he would be at the next PAID Promotions show at the Globe Arena on December 1, and he's gunning for Phere's title!
