People seem to like Brian Lumley's "Necroscope" novels, you could check them out. The Cellar has a couple of secrets, but they are arse - sleazy, though. There's a million vampire books with sequels out there - I've never read a good sequel to even the bearable (Interview with a Vampire) ones, though.
