simonworden Posted January 31, 2019 Share Posted January 31, 2019 I'm wondering with the 4 horsewomen gesture if they will have Charlotte take on askua to win the smack down women's title then have Bayley and Sasha win the tag belts and finish with Becky defeating Rousey with both sets of horsewoman being involved. Either way I reckon it's a strong possibility wm closes with the 4 of them on the stage holding belts. Open the show against Charlotte, with her title shot on the line, main event against Ronda? Charlotte could rough her up after the match, targeting her arm, then you get the added dilemma of her arm being injured going in against someone who specialises in Armbars. I'm thinking an eight-way. It would be never before seen, I think, which is great for Mania. It would gte a load of guys on the show, which they love to do. It would look great on a poster and it would give D-Bry 7 blokes to sound off on. I'd add Rey and Almas to the elimination Chamber match and go D-Bry vs. Joe. vs. Orton vs. Hardy vs. Ali vs. Rey vs. Andrade vs. Styles. I'm even liking the idea of a ladder match. I bring it up because when I thought about it, I thought you then need to shore up the card elsewhere. Pat's idea above would solve that. Try as they might to make it seem like Charlotte is just as relevant in this issue, with incidents like Survivor Series and TLC to call back to, in reality the entire buzz here is the combination of the two biggest stars finally meeting head-on after months of fantastic interractions and teases on Twitter. Nothing they can script on Smackdown can match the work Becky has been doing online. Her wit calling out and winding up Ronda since her invasion has lifted this feud to a whole other level than anything they've had in years. It feels like a big UFC fight that's been built up legitimately rather than two or three characters just cutting promos on each other on TV. This is different and forcing Charlotte into it makes it feel very much the same as what we always get. They should've learnt their lesson in the Autumn. If you don't stop ignoring the organic way Becky has connected and keep viewing it as a way of forcing Charlotte into the forefront then you're just going to take this golden opportunity and turn it into another Roman-esque shitshow. Frankly, the way they scripted her last Summer, they don't deserve the Becky Lynch they currenty have, practically carrying the entire the company. The least they could do is give it a rest force-feeding their chosen ones to the fans and just let this play out properly. Â Give Becky the main event and the win and you have your Rock/Austin for the next few years between her and Charlotte (assuming Rousey is off). I really hope they don't fuck this up, because the top of the women's division is genuinely the best thing WWE have had in a decade or more, from a creative standpoint. Â You have Charlotte, Becky, Ronda, Asuka and Sasha Banks who are all legit top stars. Â It doesn't hurt that a lot of the current generation are absolutely gorgeous AND good wrestlers. It's five years now since Bryan's done it so its fresh in the mind and just adds predictability to it. It's a simple story. Just go with it. You can do stuff with Charlotte later. Wrestlemania is already 9 hours long, with every bugger possible on the show, the last thing we need is somebody wrestling twice. I'm more convinced than ever after that Smackdown segment that it's going to be a triple threat match at Mania, I expect Becky/Charlotte at EC or Fast Lane with Beckys title shot on the line. I do like the idea of a big multi man mess of a match for the WWE Title though, any one on one combination of them screams mid card so get them all in the same match and have some fun with it, it would be utter carnage to see Bryan trying to escape with the title from that. Would cut out a load of pointless one on one matches between that lot to clutter up the card too. If you had - Raw Women's Title - Ronda vs Becky Universal Title - Brock vs Rollins WWE Title - Bryan vs Orton vs AJ vs Rey vs Andrade vs Joe vs Hardy vs Ali Smackdown Women's - Auska vs Charlotte Cena vs Drew I think that would be a really good top half of the Mania card, fill the rest with a IC match, a a Smackdown & Women;s tag title match and you could have a really good show. I fully expect Steph to do that thing where she talks down to both Becky and Ronda, like she's the school teacher and they're her pupils. Hopefully I'm wrong and Steph gets knocked out with a single punch, but it's not like Steph/The McMahons have a good track record with stuff like this.
