This whole thing is a shambles. Why didn't he just agree to give the profits to the charity? Instead there is a shit feeling about this whole event.

The whole idea when this was first announced, back in November, was that they were renaming an existing tournament weekend in his honour, to remember him.

Nobody said a word or had a problem with this until 3 weeks ago when somebody on Facebook asked if the proceeds were going to Kris' family.

Fludder handled it badly. He said what he said, it came across really badly. He's not a bad person, he just really screwed up with his explanation.

What compounded it was that a couple of groups are actually running charity shows in Travis' honour in the next few weeks, to mark the first anniversary of Kris' death. It inadvertently made PCW look bad, when PCW's only intention ever was to pay tribute to Travis by renaming the tournament. Travis was a massive part of PCW, he's probably the biggest star in the promotion's history. And Travis loved PCW and regarded it as his home promotion.

It's not uncommon to rename something after someone has passed away as a mark of respect/honour, and not give a financial donation to their relatives every time you do so. It's just a nice thing to do, to remember someone by renaming something in their honour.

I think there was a big overreaction by a lot of people, not helped by the fact that some very vocal people don't like Fludder or PCW. I genuinely believe if this had been PROGRESS or REV-PRO, nothing would've been said. But then again, Smallman and Quildan probably would have been a lot smarter in their social media response.

Went last night, good show, with Charlie Sterling vs David Starr, Pentagon Jr and Colt Cobana and TBone vs Bubblegum being standouts.

This is storm in a Teacup stuff, surely. It's arguing of who is doing more to be the most remembering or better remembering amongst Britwres feds and it's really off putting that promoters, wrestlers and fans are arguing so wildly over it, sullying the memory of a great wrestler. He's being remembered and it's a nice touch.

Fwiw there's a donation bucket that was at 500 quids and Pcw are going to Match or double it. Cant remember which.

Okies PCW isnt what it once was, but signs are there, academy guys are actually pretty decent and a return to the nearly homegrown stars that kicked it off 5 years ago, look like being fun.

Audiences are down at Evoque, but the standard is still high.

Will see what happens moving forward

Bubblegum won the tournament, and he broke down in tears about what it meant to him to honour his good friend with this event and how much he would have loved to be here to see it. If you wankers still want to worry about what goes to charity you can donate to them in your own time. The guys did it their way, and how dare you lot to argue

''It's what Trav would have wanted!!'' - Fludder logic. Pretty sure they ran an angle following Trav's comeback where Kris's illness was used in a storyline as well. Proper mark mentality stuff this. Fludder is a divvy, but hardly surprising given his track record.

What was it Quildan said? Edited by Jon-Carr_92
