Brilliant read, Ian, and really well written. You really do have to do a podcast or something. I'd listen to it anyway, and I know you like me so you'll definitely do it now.

A semi regular "Radio UKFF" or something similar is a tremendous idea. Who's technically inclined?

Not me, but do add me to the list of those that think it's a good idea. I've been thinking that a lot recently after listening to a lot of wrestling podcasts and realising that even the best of them basically just amount to idiots chatting bollocks about wrestling for a couple of hours. We've got that nailed here on the UKFF.

Not me but I'd love to be involved somehow. Great idea.

I have a full production setup at my house. So long as you guys have decent mics I can get people in a voice server and record in high quality.

I was about to suggest having a Google Hangout and recording it but I think we have a winner.

See, I don't know what a voice server is. That's how awesome I am. But yeah, if people know what things like voice servers are and how a UKFF semi-regular podcast could/should work, and they're not liable to flake out after an hour or so like me and D-Mal would, definitely venture forth with ideas and stuff. In fact, I'll spin all the podcast chat out into it's own topic.

A voice server is something like Ventrillo. A chat server used for private voice chat rooms. Team gamers use them a lot.

Stuff like podcasts, can you do them over skype and that? That'd be a good way isn't it? Have a mediator, then a few guests and they can whinge and moan or whatever.

Sounds like a good format. I'd probably go on about Raw from 1993 and 1994 all the time, though, as that's the only period I know really well. "WHAT IF PERFECT HAD MISSED WITH THE TOWEL?!" and so on.

The commissioning process at work.

I specialised in BBC commissioning processes as regards spoken word content in Uni, as well! As you can see I'm a real pro.
