Flash Posted October 5, 2013 Share Posted October 5, 2013 as promised, review  hello and good evening and welcome to EPIC studios here in Norwich where WAW & EPIC present EPIC encounters 6 "A Rowdy Farewell". Tonight features 7 matches showcasing some of the best talent the UK & Overseas has to offer. Tonight is sure to be emotional & a celebration of a 30 year career which comes to a end in what will be a brutal encounter for the ages. Super no vacancy, standing room only. Your MC's for night are Micheal Mann and the welcome return of Len Davies. Due to the huge que outside, the show started a little late before the show went live on I-PPV, Ricky was brought out to the audience to a standing ovation, a tribute video was shwon.  Match 1-Essex Boys vs Aron Frost & Robbie Dynamite-Ref Scott Edgar  Nice peice of Pams House for the Essex Boys, Essex Boys as always the crowd favourites..... Cheap shot start by Essex Boys who then continue to double team Robbie, this is until Aron comes off the top rope with a double dropkick to send the Boys to the outside. Thinking they were safe outside was not the right thought as Robbie came over the top rope with a plancha followed by the same from Aron. Once back in the ring, it was down to Robbie & Phil Powers with Robbie hitting a big powerslam but the momentuem was short lived as Phil hits a nice doublearm suplex, which led to the tag to Paul Tyrell who hit a beautiful 2nd rope splash for the 2 count. Great double team work by the veterans, both know how to bend and break the rules and in this match they had the ref run ragged. The Essex Boys continued there dominance on Robbie but once Aron got the tag, the tide quickly turned as Aron hit a corner splash followed by a back suplex to get a 2 count. When Aron had been thrown outside by Paul it was Phil who tok advantage of the ref having his back turned, when the ref did see he gave both Boys a public warning. Back in the ring, Paul hit Aron with a slam and went up top to hit a alabama jam but the pool was empty which allowed Aron to tag Robbie who was like a wildfire on both the Essex Boys. All 4 men now in the ring, brawling in the corners, which resulted in the Essex Boys being irish whipped into each other. Phil & Robbie ended outside which resulted Aron going to the top to finish off Paul, but the veteran was one step ahead and crotching Aron on the top rope and hitting a top rope hurrcanrana, 3 seconds later, we have winners.  Winner-Essex Boys.  Match 2-Mal Sanders vs Barry Cooper-Special Ref-Steve Grey. 6x3 min rounds, 2 falls 2 submissions for the win.  A Different pace now as 2 legends of British wrestling join us, Anti Noriwch speech by Mal, which goes down like a fart in a lift. Mal offers a handshake to Barry which Barry took and stomped on. The first couple of rounds are slow and mainly involved Mal cheating and pushing his luck with ref Steve Grey. Mal gets numerous 2 counts before hitting a clothesline followed by a top rope axe handle. During the match Mal tries and tries to remove the top turnbuckle, which irrates Steve Grey which results in a shoving match between Mal and Steve. Round 3 came around and still the turnbuckle was in play and by the end of Round 3, Barry had been posted a few times. As Round 4 started Mal applied the backbreaker which Barry coudldnt help but submit too. Round 5 started with another turnbuckle posting and a backbreaker but this time Barry escaped and manage to roll up Mal for the equalising fall. Round 6 began with Mal carrying on the dirty tactics and working on the already injured back of Barry, the turnbuckle was used once to often as Steve Grey finally snapped and a shoving match ensured but this time Barry was lying in wait and managed to lock in the roll up for the final and winning fall.  Winner-Barry Cooper  Match 3-Alex Young vs Syd Parker vs James "Milky" o Hagen-Ref Joe Penny.  This was the battle of TEAM EAD. 3 way lock up with James being pushed into the corner, clean break. 3 way lock up with Alex being pushed into the corner, clean break. 3 way lock up with Syd being pused into the corner, Syd hits forearms and slams and we get 3 near falls. 3 way lock up followed by a chop competition on Syd followed by a failed double team, chop competition on James in the corner who is put on the top rope where it looks like a superplex is will be preformed but a arguement between Syd & Alex means that James is allowed to hit a toprope dropkick. James with pin attempts on both opponents following the dropkick.Chop competiton on Alex, double team by James & Syd is soon put to bed as Alex hits a flying back elbow. 2 huge running kicks by Syd on Alex allowed James to get his wits together and hit a swinging neckbreaker to get a 2 count he then hit a miz style corner clothesline on Syd to send him out of the ring, as James went on the apron to hit Syd with a move, his attention was soon taken away as Alex hit a huge DDT into the ring which he followed up with a moonsault to the outside on Syd. As soon as James got back to his feet, he was soon off them when he hit a top rope plancha on both men, Syd managed to get his barrings and hit a absoulety amazing top rope somersault which was thing of beauty. Stella match so far from these 3 young men. Syd hit a top rope cross body on Alex followed by a 2nd rope DDT then James hit a rock bottom, leaving all 3 men down and the ref starting the standing 10 count. Chops for tea as all 3 men chop the hell out of each other, woo woo woo. Sitout powerbomb by Alex on Syd who then got up and hit a excellent superkick followed by a brainbuster to get a very very near fall. The end of the match came when Syd went and hit the superplex on James. This match was outstanding and showed the up and coming talent of the WAW and all 3 men should be very very proud of this match.  Winner-Syd Parker, this was my first time watching him and i cant wait to see him again, very impressed.  Match 4-4 team elimination match-Team HEW (Brett Meadows, Sam Knee & The Dominator w/Skarlett), Team Old School (Bash, Blondie Barrett & Steve Quintain), Team Major Leagues (Doug Williams, Luke Hawx & PN Newz), Army Of 3 (Sam Slam, Scott Fusion & Aaron Sharp)-Refs Jimmy Ocean & David Finch  Luke & Aaron start us off, tie up, no one moves, neither man moves from should barges, powerslam by Luke to get a 2 count, Aaron gets up and hits the same for the same result. Brett & Sam Slam in now, big kick and clothesline combo by Brett for a near fall, Sam Slam hits a flurry of nice moves, he hasnt lost a step from not being in the ring for sometime. Dominator is in now against Sam Slam and hits a DROPKICK, great agility by the big man, tag into Sam Knee who continues the domination of Sam Slam, Sam eventually gets back into the match and gets Sam Knee into his corner which always the other member of AO3 to triple team Sam, Scott enters the match and continues the work on Sam Knee before tagging Bash. With Bash in the ring he carried on the beat down of Sam Knee and hit a legdrop for a close 2 count, Blondie Barrett now in who hits clothesline and knee drop for another 2 count, Sam Knee finally got the tag to Brett while the legends had Steve Quintain in, Brett works over Steve but Steve quickly gets the advantage back with a low blow behind the refs backwhich allows the legends to triple team in the corner. Sam Slam now in against Steve, with the veteran getting the upper hand and applying some nice mat work, tag to PN Newz who clears the apron of his opponents. Scott was the man who decided he could handle PN who quickly used his veteran instincts to get the advantage, tag to Doug who does what he does best and worked Scott on the mat, tag to Luke who hits a 2nd rope moonsault for a 2 count. With PN back in the ring, a battle of wills insued with Scott, neither man would budge which resulted in Bash being tagged in who then got double teamed by Doug & PN which was followed by 2nd rope back elbow for a 2 count. Dominator back in to work over Bash, which results in Bash being trapped in the Team HEW corner, this was allowed to happen thanks to the interference from Skarlett who distracted ref Jimmy Ocean. PN back in with Bash who hits a slam for a 2 count. Sam Knee & Luke Hawx in now with Sam hitting a clothesline, quick tag to Bash who comes in like a house on fire and manages to get Sam Knee up and hits a DVD to eliminate Team HEW, the celebration was short lived though as Luke hit a top rope blockbuster on Bash to eliminate Team Old School. Sam & Doug both in now and a test of strength which is won by Sam who hits a shoulder tackle followed by a axe handle, slam & senton, tag to Aaron who hits a Oklahoma Stampede for a 2 count, tag to PN who hits a nice belly to belly, as Aaron rolls out of the ring, Luke is waiting and attacks him outside, good team work by Team Major League, Doug applies the sleeper on Aaron, Scott comes in for save which brings in all wrestlers and a 6man brawl ensues as Sam & Scott hit spears on Luke & Doug, PN is whipped into the corner but his momentum takes him over and through the ring announcers table. Back in the ring, Luke hits a swinging neckbreaker on Aaron to get a 2, Aaron then fights back and hits Luke with a TKO, as the ref counts, Luke gets his feet on the ropes, but the ref doesnt see so continues the count and the winners are Army Of 3.  WINNERS-Army Of Three.  Interval-During the interval, british wrestling legends, Tom Thumb, Alan Kilby, Mal Mason, Busty Keegan, Neil Sams and Tommy Stewart are brought out to the crowd, they get a nice ovation.  Match 5-10 Team Ladder Match-RQW British Tag Titles, Ladder not in effect till all teams are in, elimination via pinfall/submission. Teams are:- Champions Freedom & Fire, Special Edition, BattleKats, Next Generation, BourneStarrs, Hot & Sexy, Dynamo Grey/Mikey Nitro, Metalheads, Marco Marinelli/Mark Nelson, Legion Of Dudes  BattleKats & BourneStarrs start off, BourneStarrs showing there dominance on the young rookies, Grey/Nitro in next who go straight for BourneStarrs, next in is Special Edition who clear house and go at it with the BattleKats. Next team in is the former champs, the Metalheads who attack the youngsters while everyone is brawling on the outside. Next team is the current champs, Freedom & Fire, quite hard to call this match due to the amount of bodies in the ring. Next team Legion Of Dudes, Keifer immeaditly hits 3 chokeslams in a row as well as a 2 man aeroplane spin, sending the other teams flying from the ring. Next team is Marco/Nelson, choas insues as all teams are brawling in and out of the ring, next in is Next Generation who go right after Special Edition hitting them with dropkicks and superkicks ala Young Bucks. Once everyone is out the ring, Speical Edition hit tandem planchas on opposite sides of the ring, next in are Hot & Sexy, what a ovation, all 20 men are in the ring which means ladders are legal. Hotstuff is the first one to grab the ladder and he is wiping out teams left/right and centre, Tony Valentine goes for the belts but is dumped off, amid the melee, Malky (Freedom & Fire) tries to save his belts but no luck. Grey/Nitro are the first team eliminated. Mitchell Starr hits a piture perfect package piledriver to eliminate Next Generation. Chokeslam by Keifer on Dave Daniels on a ladder to eliminate the current tag champions Freedom & Fire, New champions will be crowned. Joey Osbourne hits vintage randy orton on Marco Marinelli, brawling in and out of the ring, back in the ring Marco his Joey with a ladder. Tower of Doom by Joey on Peter Nixon and Metalheads, thus eliminating the Legion Of Dudes. Marco/Nelson & BattleKats are the next 2 teams eliminated leaving us with 4 teams. Metalheads beating down Brad Slayer get the action back to normal in the ring with quick falls, Tony Valentine hits a barrowbomb to Joey on to a ladder to eliminate the BourneStarrs. Special Edition hit a superkick on the Metalheads for a 2 count, nice team work by Special Edition, Tony goes for the belts once again but is soon knocked off but the Metalheads who go for the titles themselves and get very very close to them but is dumped off the ladder onto a ladder which was setup over the ring and apron. BANG....HOLY ****, HOLY ****. 2 minutes left. Moonsault off the ladder to the outside by Brad Slayer, which was enough distraction for Kip Sabin to retrieve the belts and become NNEEWW!!!! RQW British Tag Champions.  Winners-Speical Edition-New RQW British Tag Champions  Match 6-King Kendo vs Judas-WAW British Heavyweight Title-10 x 3min rounds, 2 falls, 2 submissions-Ref David Finch  Tie up, neither big man buges, twice we got a clean break. Kendo with the armbar which is reserved by Judas, but Kendo gets to the ropes. Kendo goes with the armbar again but once again is reversed by Judas but once again Kendo gets to the ropes. Kendo goes for the full nelson but its broken by the monster judas. At the start of round 3, Kendo attacks Judas in the corner while his back is turned followed by chops, Kendo goes for a conrer splash but was met with the big boot of Judas who the manages to slam the challenger to get the first fall. Judas continues his advantage in Round 4 with a kneelift and several headbutts but a finger to the eye soon puts that to a end, Judas missed a splash in the corner just before the start of round 5. Round 5 beings with Kendo taking advantage of the mis-timed Judas splash and get the equalising fall via submission. With the target on the arm of the champion Judas, both Kendo & Sam Knee go straight for it, while Judas was able to keep Sam Knee away he wasnt able to keep Kendo away who continued to attack him outside. Back in the ring, Judas hit Kendo with a big corner splash, at this time Sam Knee had the ref distracted which allowed Karl Krammer to enter the ring and hit Judas with a chair, with the refs eyes back in the ring, Kendo hit a big Kendo Bomb off the second rope, 3 seconds later we had a NEW WAW British Heavyweight Champion.  Winner-King Kendo-NEW WAW British Heavyweight Title  Match 7-Jonny Storm vs Danny Blaze-Ref Scott Edgar  The match starts before the bell as Danny goes after Jonny only to get hit with a hurrcanrana on the entrance way. Back in the ring, Jonny gets caught off the top rope and hit with a TKO followed by a tilt and while backbreaker for a 2 count, Danny keeps the advantage with a bulldog for another 2 count, the veteran changes the tidy with some mat work and keeps it by superkicking Blaze as he tries a double axe handle. Jonny catches Blaze with a top rope armdrag for a 2 count. Blaze gets the advantage back with a nice split legged moonsault, he hits the backbreaker and goes for a top rope moonsault, but no one in the pool. Jonny gets the whirlwind and gets the 3 count, in a very fast paced match.  Winner-Jonny Storm.  Time now for the world famous Raffle.  Match 8-Main Event-Roy "The Zebra Kid" vs Zak Knight vs Ricky Knight-Hardcore Cage Match-WAW World Title.  What a ovation for Ricky. Match starts with both Roy & Zak attacking they father but its soon put the a stop by a huge spear from the rowdyman. Great back and forth action from Zak & Roy which is soon ended when Roy sides steps Zak and throws him out of the ring and into the cage. Ricky in the ring with a kendo stick which he uses on Zebra, a table is set up which Ricky backdrops Zebra into. Zak back in the ring with a tray which he bashes over his dad's head , another table brought into the ring but Zak ends up going through it. The champ is back in the ring with a tray and hits both zak & ricky over the head with it, Zebra brings in yet another table and hits a massive powerbomb onto Zak. When all 3 men manage to get back to there feet, Zebra uses a chair but Zak turns it around and hits a belly to back suplex followed by a dropkick to a chair to Ricky in the corner and then the dreaded bowling ball makes an appearance and is bowled into ricky in the corner. Once the blood is back, ricky makes a comeback by hitting a dropkick of his own to Zebra, which makes Zebra fall into the corner, allowing Zak to hit coast to coast. This Is Awesome chants break out. Another table in and Zak is placed on it by Zebra who climbs a ladder and hits the Zebra Crossing. Zebra then brings in a guard rail which he sets up between chairs, he goes for another zebra crossing, but Zak gets up and slams Zebra onto the rail, HOLY **** Ricky comes back into it with a irish whip to Zak into the rail. Another table is brought in but quickly destroyed from a superplex. Ref joe penny is taking out by a trash can to the head. Zak hits a big slam but no ref to count. Zebra has second thoughts about hitting ricky with the Zebra Crossing, but does it anyway and Ricky barely gets out in time for a 2 count. As Zebra goes for a moonsault he is taken out by a flying chiar by Zak. THUMBTACKS are brought in by Ricky who then slams his own son into them, Ricky then gets a fallen Zebra Kid and hits him with the Goodnight Slam followed by the sitdown splash and 3 seconds later we have a NEW WAW World Champion.  Winner-Ricky Knight-NEW WAW World Title  After the match Ricky gives a heart felt special thanking everyone in attendance and to those who couldnt make it, he also says that the WAW Hall Of Fame as a new inductee....UK Pitbulls, very well deserved. Flash Posted October 7, 2013 Share Posted October 7, 2013 Bellatrix Results  Christina Von Erie beat Skarlett  Destiny beat Lufisto  Erin Angel beat Penelope to retain Bellatrix British Title  Mercedes Martinez beat Miss Mina to retain Femme Fatal International Title  Sweet Saraya drew with Cheerleader Melissa after 20mins, both ladies hugged after show and walked out hand in hand  Sami Baynz beat Liberty to win RQW European Title, in match of the night. After Courtney Rush, who was a ringside, came in when ref was down and knocked out Liberty.  Metalhead Lynch came out and revealed he was the silent partner in Bellatrix, Sweet Saraya came out pissed and said at next show it would be Courtney Rush vs Liberty for Bellatrix World Title Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In the weeks leading up to the show HFP Film crew followed Rick on his emotional journey to retirement in a in depth documentary which including his retirement tour of halls and holiday camps right up to his retirement speech, the DVD, Includes many of the Rowdymans favourite matches and is a must see for Rick Knight fans and wrestling fans in general.
