Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 28, 2019 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 28, 2019 Alongside High Plains Drifter, it's definitely the best film Clint Eastwood has directed. Gene Hackman is one of the few actors I will just put a film on just for him being in it. He never put a foot wrong in his career with his performances. Keith Houchen
Funnily enough (from IMDb) This movie and High Plains Drifter (1973) open and close with the same location, camera angle, and time of day.
Mr_Danger
Gene Hackmen being 88 is very depressing. I think the last thing I watched him in was Mississippi Burning, he was the films saving grace. He's got a way of being incredibly intimidating yet really likeable in his performances.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted September 28, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted September 28, 2019 I know he's not in it much and doesn't really have a lot to do, but I enjoyed his brief turn on Enemy Of The State.I You can tell he's having fun hamming it up as Lex Luthor in the Superman movies. The King Of Swing
Unlike most I've got a lot of time for The Quick and the Dead. Silly as fuck but quite the cast and a load of fun. Lost count how many times I watched it back in the day.
