GPW: "A Night To Remember" - June 28th, Hindley, Wigan

Mr. Noble

Recommended Posts

Our next show will be a special one, dedicated to the memory of UK wrestler Dom Travis who passed away last year.

Friday June 28th, we remember, respect and celebrate Dom Travis with "A Night To Remember". A donation from all ticket sales will be made to charity, so the more people who attend, the more money we can raise for M.I.N.D, the charity chosen by Dom's family.

A lot of wrestlers on the show will be working for free and donating their wage to M.I.N.D. We will announce the total raised on the night.

We will be announcing the matches for this event in the coming weeks, but tickets have already started to sell and sell fast. Get yours and save money by ordering online at http://www.grandprowrestling.co.uk/shop

Here are the essentials, and the absolutely incredible poster designed by Irontooth Design. Plenty of people asking if this poster will be available to buy at the show, and yes it will be. We're getting some specially re-designed ones made up and for every one sold we will be donating the profits to charity.

The Mil-Anfield Connection v. The Blackpool Blonds

The tag titles are something Dom Travis knew a little bit about, he held the Trophy twice as a member of Paradise Lost. So what better way to pay tribute to The Champ than to re-unite the team that have held the titles for the longest unbeaten period in the last 10 years, welcome back Jiggy Walker and Danny Hope

Ready for a main event? In a match that I can guarantee you will be talked about for years and years to come, here it is:

Triple Threat Match:

Hayes v. Banks v. Kirby

At The Dom Travis Memorial show we remember Dom by putting 3 of the very best wrestlers together, in one match! It just so happens to be that all 3 of these men have history with each other, and just so happen to be the final 3 who were in April's Rumble which CJ Banks entered at No.1 and won by throwing both Kirby and Hayes over the top rope at the same time.

Dom Travis stood for fine wrestling, and this is a match he would love! But, who will have their hand raised at the end? Former Heavyweight Champion, Martin Kirby? The man who's been close to the big one on so many occasions, Joey Hayes, or The No.1 Contender to the Heavyweight Title, "The Juice" CJ Banks? A win here is essential for each individual. Be there to see what will be one of the most talked about matches of the ages.

As promised, here's another match for June 28th!

Singles Match:

Jim Nastic v. Nick Maguire

Dom Travis was passionate about the development of young wrestlers, helping many of the country’s current top stars in their training. Therefore, it seems fitting that on a show dedicated to his memory, we give two of the latest GPW graduates a debut singles match!

The mysterious Nick Maguire finally makes his singles debut as he takes on 1/3 of Track & Field, Jim Nastic. It was Maguire who stepped down from the ledge he had been surveying the GPW roster from and viciously attacked Nastic on the ramp way following his elimination at April’s Rumble. Maguire stated that he was “picking off the weak”. Can high flying athletic sensation Jim Nastic gain a measure of revenge against Maguire, or will the man who’s been dubbed the Lone Wolf have his hand raised on his debut singles match? Don’t miss the newest British talent collide in what will be a fantastic match!
