I loved the WCW arenas which involved water around the set, or ones that were set up on a beach, usually their Bash at the Beach PPV events or their Spring Break Nitro shows.

This one is from their Spring Break episode of Nitro from 27th March 2000 when Sting and Lex went around the arena and ended up wrestling around the pool and on the beach.

Here's the full show too:

The part where Sting and Lex go around the arena is about 46 minutes. Watch for the waiter getting thrown in the pool too.

Also this is a pretty awesome looking stage:

Also this one looked cool too, just looking at the sheer amount of fans on the side of the entrance way ramp:

This one is a little similar with the huge entrance:

Also just the sheer amount of people at Wrestlemania makes it look awesome, this one is WrestleMania 25:

King of the Ring stages were always cool:

Loved this one from 2001 with the big electric chair and the way Kurt Angle brutally threw Shane McMahon through the panes of glass which are the green areas on this photo:

King of the Ring 1999 was great too with all of the ladders on the entrance stage, shocked I can't actually find a photo of it but here it is in video form in the ladder match main event between Austin and Shane and Vince. I loved when Austin was throwing the two of the into the ladders too and eventually pulled the whole lot down on them:

I love raised entrance ramps that go right up to the apron. They look cool as shit, and they make for some really fun spots.

I think it was possibly what excited me the most when I tuned into Impact the other week for the first time in forever.

I love that TNA's 2007/8 PPV stage was basically the exact same as the WCW Nitro stage posted earlier! I hate the new LED stages in wwe, you cant really tell any events apart, also TNA now use the same stage for IMPACT and PPV'a, they need to make more of an effort! An amazing stage can make an event seem better!

I always loved the "Stage of rage" SD stage with the fist, as i had it as a child growing up! I also used to try and make the PPV stages from all these different boxes and parts from other stages and fake scaffholding from the old rings! Sometimes they looked pretty awesome! I never understood why wwe didnt sell more toy replicas of stages, i would hav bought them all to mix it up a bit!

I used to like the tunnels that TNA used to have in the Impact zone:

It looked really different, with people emerging as if from hell, or a spaceship or something.

Yeah, the MSG ones were great, I really like the automatic doors(?) that they had for Survivor Series for some reason. MSGs ones are actually quite reminisce of the most well known ECW entrance way.

Also, the Backlash ones were great too.

I liked that too. If it wasn't in the Impact Zone then it would have looked much better.

I'm a big fan of the sets TNA use these days with my favourite being the one used for Bound For Glory 2010 which had the screens that raised in the air. They used it for a few other PPV's and a few tapings on the road but it looked bloody brilliant. I do like the current set TNA are using for Impact on the road.

I thought this set above looks pretty cool for its time...

Another one I'm a massive fan of the wwf armageddon 2000 set (cannot find a pic) and also a fan of this years wrestlemania 29 set which I think is wwes best WM set ever (in my opinion)

Not a fan of the RAW and Smackdown sets down. I think they have made them so big and video based the wrestlers look small and insignificant, the wrestler coming out should be framed by the set not overwhelmed by it. And being as everything about the set changes as its a video to do with the wrestler, its has no real character

The first one with the Titantron. Not only do I love the minimalist style, but the curtain sells it for me the most. Whenever some music hit, everybody would stare at a bloody curtain. Magic :) Plus you could really grab it and swing it open or peek trough it and really custimize your entrance. Not so much now as we just wait who's coming around the corner.
