All I can think is that they decided Elizabeth whipping her skirt off would be too racy for anyone under 15.

And as for some "tracking issues", gentlemen in the know will understand why Sensational Sherri's entrance at the 92 Royal Rumble, the "First Lady of WCW" contest from Beach Blast 1992 and the bikini contest from the 2000 Royal Rumble are permanently ruined.

Wanking over Mae Young's knee warmer tits? To each his own and all that.

Could be wrong, but I thought the main reason for the 18 cert for SummerSlam '88 was due to the footage of Ron Bass attacking, and bloodying up, Brutus Beefcake.

You barely saw anything with the big "X" on the screen. Made me feel a right rebel trying to look at the footage. I bet it probably was for the Elizabeth thing though. IIRC, Wrestlemania 3 was a PG wasn't it? Think there was a censor there at the time that didn't quite understand the grappling..Thing that ruined that show for me was the constant boxing hype videos in the middle of the action. You'd have thought by the time it got over here, somebody would have cut it.

Ha, yeah. Donnie LaLonde banging on about dreaming he was going to knock out Sugar Ray Leonard (yeah, dream on Don), while Leonard sat in what looked like the cheap seats with Mean Gene next to him. I didn't know what the fuck was going on watching that as a kid.I loved the ads for the Survivor Series on that tape though;[creepy voice/]"Thanksgiving night...witness...the Survivor Series"[/creepy voice]What was the deal actually with the WWF/Leonard vs LaLonde tie-in? I remember Jesse Ventura was interviewed between rounds in that fight as well on the version I saw. Was Vince thinking of dabbling in boxing promoting or something? Actually I'm sure I read on here once about there being plans to do a massive event with Hulk Hogan vs Mike Tyson, before Tyson lost to Buster Douglas. Wonder if there was any truth to that.

More than thinking - the promotion company for the Leonard vs Lalonde PPV was Titan Sports.

- Sugar Ray Leonard vs Hector Camacho (1997): They went to the well again with a washed up, 40 year-old Leonard...and it worked. Somehow, this fight was pretty successful on PPV. Exception proves the rule, I guess. Not the only time Titan Sports promoted a Ray Leonard fight.http://www.cagesideseats.com/2010/1/19/125...-wwes-other-non

Tyson was advertised for that SNME appearance, which obviously changed after the Japan fight. The "match" with Hogan is one of those things I've seen people talk about in forums for years, but I've never seen or heard any proof on it, or anybody in the mix speak about it.
