rubbafish
Anyone interested in football or politics, I recommend an Israeli documentary called 'Forever Pure'. A great piece of work that doesn't get enough praise.

Ridley Scott just should have retired a decade ago and left his legacy intact. The Martian showed he still has some life in him. If he stuck to lighter stuff like that, he could still have an Indian summer to his career.

I love Zac Efron as well so it was win/win. Look out for my Robert De Niro podcast coming soon (been saying this for 5 years now) Edited October 11, 2017 by SuperBacon Pressed save too quick

I saw that romcom where he played an old man intern for Anne Hathaway* and although it was total shit he still didn't phone it in and actually elevated it a bit.  * I was on a flight with limited choices and an intention of falling asleep halfway through. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted October 11, 2017 Moderators Share Posted October 11, 2017 So much of the dialogue in that film felt like it was a placeholder waiting for someone to replace it with something that generally conveyed the same thing but sounded like it was actually something that would come out of a real human's mouth. Mr_Danger
Man walking out of the cinema after Blade Runner and seeing the boring real world was depressing. Definitely recommend 3d imax.

Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted October 12, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted October 12, 2017 I know it's not a film but has anybody actually watched "Harry's Game"? What a piece of TV that is. It's amazing it's not talked about more.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted October 12, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted October 12, 2017 I made the questionable decision of watching the new Flatliners remake instead of Blade Runner last night, it definitely wasn't good but it kept my attention the whole way through and despite the fact that it's complete nonsense I enjoyed it more than I expected. At some point it does kind of turn into final destination with assorted other horror tropes thrown in. Ellen Page and Diego Luna try pretty hard to elevate it above being a b-movie but their efforts are in vain. I did enjoy seeing Ellen in something, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for her and it's been a while.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted October 12, 2017 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 12, 2017 (edited) Theory - the only good film Ellen Page has been in is Whip It. Edited October 12, 2017 by Devon Malcolm
Steve Justice
I think Hard Candy is a decent film. As is Super. But I also quite like Juno, so...
