I don't see why he should have to refund hotel rooms and travel if the event was cancelled weeks before. If you booked tickets to see a concert and it was cancelled would the promoter give out refunds for pre booked hotels? No. I know this promotion has asked you to contact them to see if anything can be offered but you have refused this and seem intent on bad mouthing them at any given opportunity.

What?

Do you really find it hard to understand what the guy's complaint is? He's not asking for accommodation or travel to be refunded, he's saying Gauntley's lack of professionalism put him out of pocket for funds that he can't get re-funded. Why should anyone trust a promoter who does that?

"Intent on badmouthing them at any given opportunity" - don't play the wounded martyr here. Gauntley has this reputation for a reason - he's fucked a lot of people over, several times, and he's done it with two different brands already. He's been damaging for the British scene, and if he really wants people to trust him again, he's going to have to work MEGA-HARD to get that to happen.

In the meantime, having a go at people who openly express their mistrust of any wrestling-related ventures run by Gauntley is stooge behaviour - they're consumers who've been burned, so don't behave like it's unreasonable.

Just one comment on this subject on behalf of Pro Wrestling Republic. Anyone who has any previous issue such as the one described above, feel free to contact us at admin@prowrestlingrepublic.com, or else maybe even PM us your phone number, and we will have Steven call you. There may be something that can be done.

We appreciate we have a long , hard road to travel here. This project was not undertaken lightly, and we plan to win trust and confidence.

If it offers any reassurance , then all the funds for the first few shows are already in the bank. We get none of the ticket money from this event until after the event has happened. We take credit / debit card payment on our site, but with the understanding that the card company will be holding all the funds as insurance until after the event has happened. Also, any tickets purchased via the Leadmill Box office, we obviously don't get that money until after the event. Just wanted to explain.

We appreciate all critique and feedback , both negative and positive. Anyone with any issue at all they wish to discuss with our team, please do get in touch!

Cheers

Too long.

Don't think it will run that long to be honest. It's set to be a 7 match card. A more realistic finish time would probably be 9.30pm, and this takes into account a 30 minute interval too. We are advertising a 10pm approx finish time just to err on the side of caution.

Any Republic ticket holders who wish to remain inside the Leadmill after the show finishes can do so, and obtain free entry into " Sonic Boom " , which is the club night event at the venue, which officially starts at 11pm.

Which room are you in at the Leadmill? Sonic boom starts at 11 and when i used to DJ there they needed time to transfer from gig to club night, bearing in mind you will have a ring to take down then a 10 finish might be optimistic if you are having the ring on the dancefloor area (i assume the stage is too low as the lights are quite far down on it.)

The show is in the main gig room. It really will be a very special environment for a show.

We have discussed it at length with the venue, and the takedown won't be an issue at all, with Sonic Boom opening at 11pm as usual.
