It's a pity that major league wrestling is such a selfish endeavour.

Forget about having unions, you'd think someone with clout like Hogan or Sting would have decency to say they're downing tools until everyone gets their back pay and assurances things would improve going forward.

Wrestling is only as stable as its top stars, if Hogan/Sting just downed tools out of the blue it would only exacerbate the problem.

All those people that have paid for tickets? The reactin of Spike?

Christ, it'd be a shit storm.

Considering how much those people earn sacking them to save money is like using a water pistol to put out a house fire. Cutting back on catering is a better money saver than sacking Sam Shaw. Shame Ryan and York have gone, they are both great for their roles and should have been kept. It's huge contracts and dead wood that need to be cut. Hope Crimson sticks around, I have actually always liked him and thought he was great in his match against Park.

Apparently the guys like Joey Ryan, Crimson, York had a monthly guarrantee before being booked on shows. Obviously I very much doubt it's a high guarrantee but if there cutting down on the wrestlers they're bringing in for TV some of these guys may be costing the company more than what they deliver. Hardly their fault, just unfortunate.

As it stands after Bound for Glory no IMPACT live dates have been announced. I wonder if after 6 months on the road they pull the plug?

According to the Scott Steiner catering was cut last year. They'll be bringing a packed lunch with them if they cut it anymore.

"They cut the money for catering and we startd using paper plates n plastic.f*cking crazy!!!!"

Weirdly enough, if you read the mad ramblings of Scott Steiner, the things he was saying in drunken twitter rants last year have been pretty spot on in some cases.

Steiner is a very intelligent and insightful man.

Looking at that they should bring back the 'no limits' thing with the X-Division combine the KO division with it.

Thing is, where do they go? They've lost the Impact Zone.

Manhattan Centre or Vegas it is.

Only you could take a random trivial comment being used to make a point and turn it into an example of how much of a know it all you are. Well played.

Edit: also love how a random suggestion I have made about taping in Vegas is now being suggested as an actual option for them. If we all keep talking about it like its a fact maybe the dirt sheets will pick up on it and TNA will actually do it.

You heard it on the UKFF first, TNA are going to cancel being on the road to film in Vegas after BFG

50 wrestlers is mental for TNA to have on the books. A lot of them are just on pay per appearance deals though, aren't they, so probably not costing them anything unless they use them? It's not like WCW, where you had about a thousand wrestlers on good guaranteed money and Nailz making a killing for nearly a decade after having a cup of tea there in 1993. Although that story surely isn't true, either.

Really, TNA could get by on 16-20 wrestlers on the roster and use locals to make up the numbers on any given night instead of flying anyone besides the core roster in.

It doesn't seem like any talent acquisition makes any positive difference to TNA's TV ratings or buyrates anymore, so it'd appear that they could get away with letting the big money guys go. But those guys might be the only thing stopping the audience from vanishing completely, the numbers might have bottomed out completely without them.

Maxwell, have you ever thought of asking Morgan on twitter if you could finish that tattoo on his back for him? I still have no idea if its a skull or a lion or a angry panda or what.

EDIT: Oh and here's the latest on TNA from Mike Johnson.

The ongoing TNA releases are due to budget cuts within the company, something that has been ongoing.

The talents released were being paid a monthly guarantee with an additional fee when they were booked for TNA events. The feeling was that with the talents not being used regularly by the promotion, there was no need to keep them held under contract.

There's been a lot of talk of cost-cutting of late in the company with the added expenses of producing Impact on the road, including the departures of different executives, including execs in the marketing and public relations end of the company.

There has also been increased grumbling among some wrestlers about pay coming late, with one talent claiming he has heard stories of talents being two months behind and others confirming they are behind but not wanting to confirm how far behind they are.
