The venues for the next sets of tapings to close out 2018 look pretty small too particularly the next one in Vegas I’ve not seen any shows from there before but some of you may have I don’t think it’s gonna look too good on tv

November 11th, 12th & 13th tv tapings from sams town casino in Vegas (2 nights of tv and 1 night taping a Ono ppv)

Then two nights in California but at different venues

November 30th Newark pavilion

December 1st salinas youth center (this one is being advertised as a Ono event

That’s it for 2018

then it’s the homecoming ppv at the asylum 6th January I’m hoping they hurry up and and announce tv taping days soon as I’ve held off on booking flights I’m not expecting them to be offering a travel package as  they didn’t for bound for glory

if they don’t announce taping days in the next week or two we are gonna book to return home Wednesday knowing my luck they will then announce tapings through Friday

anyone know a cheaper/faster way to Nashville than Heathrow>Toronto>Nashville £425 return only 3 of us doing it which is a huge shame there was 8 of us who went to the asylum in 2003 will be really cool going back

is anyone else on here planning to attend?

When I did 'Mania this year, direct flights from UK airports to New Orelans were not only super expensive (way over a grand for a return booking) but it was also about 13 hours long with a stop somewhere in eastern Europe.

So, the best way round this was to fly to a nearby city/state, stay over in a hotel for a day and then rent a car to New Orleans. So what started out as £1100 for a super long flight with a stop in the middle, turned into a £500 flight to Houston that took only 7 hours, the hotel was around £80 for two nights and the car rental was £100 split between 5 people (travel time was about 7 hours but we all chipped in a drove for just over an hour each). Not only did we save money, but we got to spend time in another city and had a great American road trip!

And if you can't/don't want to drive, there are plenty of greyhounds, buses and trains that will likely connect the two destinations.

Having a quick glance on Sky Scanner, you can get an 8 hour overnight flight from Heathrow direct to Atlanta, Georgia and that'll set you back £400. It's a 4 hour drive from Atlanta International to Nashville or 6 hours via Metro & Greyhound. All you have to worry about then is a hotel in Atlanta (as I wouldn't recommend driving straight away after an overnight flight due to the jet lag).

So while you're probably paying a hundred or so more on top, in return you get; a shorter flight, a day or so in Atlanta and a GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP!

It's worth your time to look at options like that, rather than being crammed onto a 13 hour flight with the frustration of entering/exiting a plane multiple times.

There’s an option to go via Detroit for only £411 return but it’s a long wait for the connecting flight

Friday

Heathrow 12:30>Detroit>16:20

detroit 20:15>Nashville >21:16

if we are coming back wedneday

Nashville 19:00>Atlanta 21:17

atlanta 22:04>Heathrow 11:10

That’s one hell of a tight connection coming back but the price is amazingly cheap

We’ve already booked the hotel fri-wed with booking.com that was a pretty good deal too best western sunrise inn £400 for 3 of us sharing for the 5 nights not to bad at all less than £30 each per night

Don’t forget flying out you’ll need to go through border patrol so that’ll kill at least an hour of your time. Between that and boarding you’ll probably have a couple of hours to grab some food and a couple of beers.

Also, don’t let the tight connection put you off returning. Atlanta is a big airport but there’s a rail shuttle connecting each terminal so easy to get from one flight to the next.

You wouldn’t have to go through security again, and any delays would be taken into account by the airline. It happened to me in 2012 coming back from Miami. We were delayed, and when I questioned what would happen regarding our connecting flight I was assured it would be up to the airline to sort it. We literally got off one plane in and crossed the concourse and boarded another.

Ah that’s not to bad then I think we may aswell just get them booked for a return on the wedneday if they then announce tapings beyond Tuesday night so be it

they’ve announced winndsor tapings for March but still haven’t said anything about tapings following the homecoming ppv yet :(

One thing I like about watching Impact is spotting the ads for what's on next, this week......Anaconda, Josh Matthews selling it like it's fucking Schindlers List. My god it's such a shit network they are on  I dunno what our equivalent is but it's gotta be one of them that shows cop programmes presented by Jamie Theakston.

Anyway, Killer Kross is still great, Fenix does things I didn't think possible and Fallah Bah is so damn loveable.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about missing a connection too much if saving money or getting back for work etc isn't an issue. We missed a connection in Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines a few years ago, they had a flight 6 hours later which wasn't too bad but they did slot us straight onto that flight no questions asked. A little annoying it was a bit under the wait time for us to get any compensation past a $2 food voucher each but you'll never be asked to shell out for extra flights if you are connecting with the same airline.

Its a shame as the company has managed to shake of the stink of TNA for the most part [although I do think the flashback matches don't help in that regard] and while there are some misses I think it is an enjoyable and easy watch.

Is there anything they can do to help viewing figures? A move to a different network? Jericho coming on board?

They’ve burned all their bridges with any decent networks, that’s why they’re on the tinpot station they’re on now.

They can go to Spike and say “hey! Relax guy, I’ve changed!” because Dixie isn’t there anymore, but the networks know they’re a bunch of carnys
