Wasn't there some weird WWF card from around 1987-88 that had strictly tag-team cage (through the door) elimination matches? I'm sure I read about it at WrestlingClassics. Basic idea was to toss out your opponent through the door, or over the top (yeah right), for the win. Most of the matches barely lasted 5 minutes. I remember there were about 10 of these matches too. It wasn't even a tournament.

WWF @ New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - November 15, 1997

Prior to Bret Hart's leaving the WWF, the main event was scheduled to be a title defense for Hart pitting him against the Undertaker, Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels in a four-way match

Instead they replaced it with:

The Undertaker & Steve Austin defeated WWF World Champion Shawn Michaels & Hunter Hearst Helmsley when Taker pinned Michaels with the chokeslam and tombstone

WWF @ Philadelphia, PA - Spectrum - August 2, 1992

The Bushwhackers (sub. for Davey Boy Smith & Crush) defeated Shawn Michaels & Repo Man when Luke pinned Repo Man

Would have loved to have seen Shawn bumping around for the Bushwhackers.

There's a couple of Randy Savage vs Ric Flair matches for the title around that time that had Jim Duggan as the referee, which seems... odd.
