I've been toying with the idea of doing a podcast for a bit - just as a bit of a project to work on, as well as honing presentational skills and whatnot, as well as giving me somewhere to talk about wrestling bloody loads without it just being in huge walls of text on here.

I like your huge walls of text on here. Do a podcast if you must, but not at the expense of your posts here!

Terry Funk is hilarious on the latest Lawler podcast. Tries to stay in character for the whole thing Ā (he and Lawler are facing each other in some 6 man tag soon) but there's a part where they're talking about Hall of Fame'sĀ and Funk seems genuinely surprised to hear he's in the WWE HOF.Ā

I've also started listening to a new podcast with Neil Pruitt who's a former WCW producer and more famously the voice of the nWo paid advertisements. It's a bit dry but it talks about the production side of specific angles and shows. Interesting stuff if you're into that sort of thing.Ā

Oooh, might have to check out the Kaufman ones, in which case. I don't really have much interest in Lawler in the WWE, but could listen to old Memphis stories for hours. Anything come up in those episodes that maybe hasn't been too widely discussed elsewhere?

Now I've worked out how to download it (http://dinnerwiththeking.libsyn.com/rss), I've just picked two Lawler shows to have a listen to. The #3 discussng Heel Vince in Memphis and #25 with Bret.

Also downloaded the Neal Pruitt one on Colin's say so. Interesting concept. It's called Secrets Of WCW Nitro. http://wcwmondaynitropodcast.libsyn.com/rss

The guy hosting it has a book about WCW coming out which has the potential to be really good - along with the usual suspects (Bischoff, Nash, Russo, Sullivan etc.) he's managed to interview a load of Turner executives (including Jamie Kellner) who I don't think have ever really gone on record about WCW before.Ā  There's a bare bones website up for it at http://wcwnitrobook.com/.Ā  It's being released next year on the anniversary of the final Nitro.

I had no idea Lawler had a podcast. Generally, is it any good?

It's generally very good and a really easy listen.Ā  Most shows are around the 1hr mark and Lawler comes across as really genuine with a really good memory.Ā  The Kaufman episodes mentioned above were particularly great.Ā  Would definitely recommend those.

I'll need to add the Lawler podcast to my weekly list.

BTW, Cena is on the E&C podcast, this week. It's a good listen. Cena (and E&C) goes into quite a bit of detail on why so many of the current mob are failing to connect with us. Clearly not a fan of a chunk of the roster.

He gives his take on the Reigns feud too.
