Tombstone101
Just Read on Facebook that Scottish Wrestler Lionheart is retiring from the ring in December.... Â Â One of the best in the country and just voted number 11 in the UKFF top 50 2012. Â Really thought he was going to TNA or WWE soon... Â Â Thoughts? drew4primeminister
Gobsmacked! Lionheart has been huge in Scotland for the majority of his career, but I just felt he was starting to make a big impression further afield - and I too thought he may be off to WWE, so this news is a big, big shock. Â But I wish him well with his future endeavours - he will be missed

Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted October 2, 2012 Paid Members Report Share Posted October 2, 2012 Quite a shock. Seemed to be going places after appearing on last year's TNA tour and whatnot. Did he mention whether he would continue to promote, as in just retiring from in-ring competition?

jjridpath
Truly is a shame. However I am sure he will still be promoting shows. Done some really good work as a promoter.
Tombstone101
As far as I'm aware he is only retiring from inring work, and will continue to promote shows.

The Cum Doctor
Well, he mentioned it at PBW, and then BCW said last night he'd be having his last Scottish match. As far as I know, his last match will be in Preston.
Richie Freebird
I might have just not remembered any reference to it from that night then. I have a reasonably sized gap in the memory bank from Friday.

Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted October 2, 2012 Paid Members Report Share Posted October 2, 2012 I was more surprised that he wasn't on that TNA Boot Camp show, considering Jeff Jarrett always raves about him.
Richie Freebird
When did The Hammer announce he was retiring? Â I think it was Sunday, on his facebook page. It got mentioned in one of the PCW threads in the UK Events section. Lionheart himself actually commented on Shaun's status saying something like "I'm gutted about this". Sexy Dad
Ahh this is a shame. I saw him take on Justin Gabriel at the dark match of the Smackdown taping last November and he had a fair few supporters down on the ground seats and triggered off a smattering of Lionheart chants. More recently I enjoyed his role in the Fatal 4 Way at PCW where he temporarily won the title and his tag team match last Friday. Â Obviously a massive shame to see a guy that has at one time been on WWE and TNA's radar packing it in. #Believe (?)
