TNA Bound For Glory 2012 Offical Discussion Thread (THIS SUNDAY)

They did the wembley set up that way I believe for 2 reasons.

1- It was a last minute decision so they had no proper set ready bar the normal house show screen which isnt very high res. Rather than have that lower and use it as an entrance way screen like they have on house shows. Instead the shooting from the back made sure the cameras did not show too much of the shoddy entrance and more the rabid crowed as the wrestlers came out.

2- They couldnt put the HD Cameras anywhere else without a massive reallocation of seats and tickets so they had to have all the production stuff there

I liked it on camera as the place looks like it is overflowing, and although I think they should have not had the wrestlers opening a curtain as they came through, that cheapened it a bit the only thing that seemed cheaper and I really don't understand why they did this apart from to control a packed crowed they used the more front of concert type big barriers instead of the normal barriers which stunk a bit of house show ness.

I think this will look completely different it looks more like there going for a Boxing type set up with just a small corner entrance which can look really cool, ala MGM Grands very thin boxing entrance thing

Yes very UFC style of a entrance way. Which I totally agree with because the place instantly looks fuller. Hopefully they manage to sell this out, should be a good atmosphere.

7 matches announced now, still missing the likes of RVD and the X-Division title.

Zema's X Division Title match would surely be announced on the go-home show, as usual. Sonjay Dutt and Kenny King are the only X Division wrestlers around so I'd say a 3-way is likely.

I could see RVD being put in a match for the PPV preshow. They're airing it on Spike TV right before the PPV so it would make sense to put a bigger name on it.

Think it looks pretty darn good if im honest. I think just looking at the card it should be awesome, but the build up hasnt been great and its obviously holding it back. Everything seems to have fizzled out. The once exciting Storm/Roode thing probably needed the Title to recapture the magic it had before Lockdown while nothing about Aries vs Hardy is really compelling enough to sell it as the Main Event. The Tag Team Championship 3 way was clearly meant to be just Styles/Angle vs Daniels/Kaz in a blow off match wasnt it? But because that Claire storyline was so shit they obviously rushed it and now we have added Chavo and Hernandez. it'll be an awesome match but its not exactly exciting to think about or get you excited for the biggest ppv of the year is it?

Whats the deal with spoilers then? Do we discuss what happened on Impact in Spoiler Tags? And then is it safe once Impact airs here on Sunday?

I think the three-way is totally because Angle isn't at 100% and they wanted Chavo on the card. I was totally expecting a gimmick blow off match up with the two teams, but I have no doubt in my mind that it will still be a MOTY contender match.

EDIT: The title says IMPACT SPOILERS so I would shoot away.

Any word on how the advance ticket sales are doing for this one? It's set out for 5000 seats so I'm hoping TNA can at least sell out a 5000 seat venue for its biggest night of the year?

This Aces and Eights thing wouldn't be bad if they just took the masks off and stopped with this club house shite. If we knew who they were (and invested in who they were) and they were actually do their business in the ring, it would at the least be a generic wrestling stable. Which is better than a bunch of masked blokes doing the same thing every week. Its just that we have no idea who they are, and worse, suspect its people we don't give a toss about and all of their contribution to the show is via their base where you can't understand what they are saying. How can you get into that?

I actually have faith Bound For Glory will deliver the goods. Usually they build Bound For Glory well and it turns out to be shite. This year it might do the opposite, and have a shit build and deliver the goods.

Hogan talking about stuff he isn't sticking his cock in:

After spending this week talking about his sex tape in media interviews, TNA star Hulk Hogan talked wrestling on the Busted Open satellite radio show Wednesday. After starting with a discussion of the sex tape drama, Hogan broke down the ups and downs of the current TNA roster.- Hogan said he's not concerned who wins the TNA Title match between Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy at Bound for Glory because he thinks they can switch it back to Bobby Roode off either champion."No matter who wins the belt at Bound for Glory, you can switch the belt back to Bobby Roode off Aries, you can switch the belt off Hardy and back to Bobby Roode, and you can be safe, because Bobby Roode is that damn good," Hogan said. "Bobby Roode has come into his own as a heel, he

That doesn't read like a Hogan interview at all. It's almost as if he's... talking sense?

Fair play taking some of the hit for Storm's position weakening and it's nice of him to point out that it was more a timing issue than anything Storm was doing wrong. It must have been a kick in the balls for Storm to do all that exciting stuff with Roode, with the year-long (nearly) build and then have A Double step in and take the top spot.

I bloody hope the Aces & Eights reveal is good.

God knows if it's reliable or not as it came from a "copy and paste, but often getting it wrong" website, but I read that the deal with Bischoff clearly being the guy doing the voice the other day was just a red-herring, and that he won't be the man behind the gang.

Everything looks promising for BFG I personally think, yes the build hasnt knocked our socks off. But lets be honest most people will either watch for the A&E reveal (hope they dont put it off) or Hardy fans will tune in hopefully with him in a prominent match I think. The fans on the stage sounds quite cool I think although I cannot picture it unless they are going for a real boxing/MMA feel and having security escort the wrestlers to the ring. Hogan talks a lot of sense there to which is surprising, taken 2 years but if he is calling the shots this much then I think he is doing quite a bit right
