Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted September 11, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2012 That was a bit eventful wasn't it? I wasn't watching it, but as soon as I heard Lawler clapped out I couldnt switch it on fast enough. Hope he's alright. Maybe the most surreal wrestling show I've ever watched. Just a horrible feeling watching it. Â On the wrestling related stuff, that end segment was excellent. Really fucking good. Shame it'll not be remembered, understandably, but still a good one.
Slapnut Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 It was proper eerie watching the Lawler situation unfold. I've rewatched the part where he collapsed and you can actually hear him having difficulty breathing, it sounds like he's snoring. I hope he pulls through. Â Bit boring apart from that mind. The standout parts were Daniel Bryan & Kane and the end segment. Â EDIT: NEWM, you evil bastard!
Paid Members niff Posted September 11, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2012 Great promo from Cena (which was understandably highly charged) but yes an eerie episode where Cole was not commentating for much of the last third so no one knew Miz was interfering during Rey v Cody, so odd. The important thing is that Jerry pulls through. They did well to keep it together, in particular Cole.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted September 11, 2012 Moderators Posted September 11, 2012 Apparently snoring could be a sign of a brain haemorrhage. Not ideal.
hitman89762000 Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 To be honest with the way the wwe has done stuff in the past i initially assumed it was a storyline. Then due to cole you became more aware it wasn't very surreal you'd have cole delivering updates sombrely then it'd flip to a match or adverts for noc...
Paid Members niff Posted September 11, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2012 Apparently snoring could be a sign of a brain haemorrhage. Not ideal. Â My mum had a brain haemorrhage, vomiting and severe headache are also symptoms. She's fine, she was out in 2 weeks.
patiirc Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I reckon may be a stroke, but that's just me.  Just got back after motorway shenanigans in the pissing rain only for one of me mates to text are you watching raw. No fucking clue what was going on, jumped into chat and found a stream. Man that was odd  That Cena vs Punk promo was absolutely amazing!
NorthSeaTiger Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 On the wrestling side of things they sorely need to have different guys on every week, as in more variety...recapping segments to use up time is wasting the airtime others could benefit from... Â As for Jerry Lawler, i really hope he pulls through. He has been great the past few weeks with Punk and always gets a reaction from the live crowd. It really was surreal watching it live without commentary, almost like being there in person. Â
andrew "the ref" coyne Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 How weird. Didn't somebody suggest this as a idea on how to further the fued recently? Â Very tragic to hear, I hope it's itching too serious. Havnt watched it, but I don't understand why Cole couldn't continue commentary (unless of course he was generally that unnerved). I've not seen it, so was it so serious that it justified not having a commentator?
Paid Members SpiritOfTheForest Posted September 11, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2012 Word seems to be out now that it was a heart attack. Â Smith Hart's also reporting that Jerry was clinically dead for 20 minutes backstage before being revived by a defibrillator. Apparently he's now in a "stable condition" so looks like he might be out of the woods. Fingers crossed.
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted September 11, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2012 Just absolutely insane. Hope he pulls through. Â Snoring happens on the "Tommy Cooper death" footage too and he died of a massive heart attack. Â He was bloody lucky he had a ton of medical people around him there. If that happened in your house, with nobody around for a while, you're a dead man.

Pro wrestling.net has a statement from lawyers gf saying it was a heart attack
David Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 The main thing is that he actually survives, and to that end he was lucky it happened when & where it did.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted September 11, 2012 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2012 Jesus, I read the first couple of posts and still thought this was some storyline. Especially after someone on here (NEWM?) mentioning before that they could do this as part of an angle. Â Worrying stuff. I hope he's alright.
