I love Horiguchi. Thought he was one of the few real standouts in the flyweight division in the UFC a few years back. It’s been great seeing him do so well since being let go.

And this fight getting made gives me hope that Bellator might be up for a bit of a working relationship with ONE down the road as well. We need to get that Alvarez vs Chandler rubber match at some point.

MVP vs Daley in WW GP, at Mohegan sun casino February 16, in the co-main former champion Vitaly Minakov returns to Bellator to fight Cheick Kongo winner most likely fights Bader Vs Fedor winner for the belt. I'm guessing the reason this isn't in the UK is because DAZN want it in primetime in the US and I think they have exclusive rights to the WW GP.

Bellator are in Newcastle the week before, probably a BAMMA/Cage Warriors level card 5 Spike (they'll run 10 if these in 2019), not aired in the US.

How about this then?

McGregor vs Poirier 2 would be a curveball I didn’t even consider. Khabib vs Ferguson needs to finally happen but will probably fall apart again. I guess this scenario could mean Cowboy vs Gaethje as well, which I’d fucking love to see.

There’s so many fights I want to see Ferguson in. It’s crazy but for a guy who’s been on the roster nearly a decade, there’s still so many great fresh fights to make with him. Khabib and McGregor are the obvious ones but imagine Ferguson vs Poirier? Ferguson vs Nate Diaz? Or Justin Gaethje? Or Cowboy? Iaquinta? A rematch with Kevin Lee could be great as well.

The UFC main event curse continues:

https://www.f4wonline.com/ufc-news/report-ufc-move-henry-cejudo-tj-dillashaw-espn-debut-271741

What a shit show.

Surely they could have left it where it was, and if Lawler wasn't willing to fight five rounds, find two other fighters on 8 weeks notice who would be willing to be on a main event? If Usman is happy to fight on the date, give Ponzinibbio a call and see what he's doing that day and if he would like to main event UFC's ESPN debut.

Yeah, 232 is one PPV that can actually afford to lose a fight and not really be effected. Would be a shame though because I love those proper stacked shows and the double header of Jones-Gus 2 and Cyborg-Nunes on the same card is fucking awesome.

Maybe they’ve already had something lined up for 233 that hasn’t been confirmed yet. What’s Woodley and Covington doing?

Edit - oh and who is the absolute weapon that decided woman beating shithead Greg Hardy should make his UFC debut on the same card as Rachael Ostovich who’s just been the victim of domestic violence? What plonker actually thought that was a good move? And on the debut show on ESPN+ as well.

I was just coming in here to mention the same thing Wand. An absolutely moronic decision of the highest proportions. It's bad enough that the UFC have chosen that they want to be on the Greg Hardy bus, but to have him share the same debut night as Ostovich Vs Van Zant is horrible decision-making. It shows a lack of sympathy for what Ostovich (and Van Zant, going by her book excerpt) have went through, and that's before you even get to the terrible PR for themselves as a company on their debut night on ESPN.

Woodley Vs Covington is on hold at the moment due to Woodley's hand that he got surgery on after the Till fight. He expects to fight early next year but doesn't think it'll be January, was the last I heard/read.

I forgot all about VanZant’s backstory as well. Even worse. Why are they even getting in bed with this Greg Hardy cunt anyway? They’re alright with beating women now? I remember the days when they used to cut all ties with the likes of Thiago Silva and Josh Grispi. Now they’re all up this cretin’s arse who from what I’ve read shows no regret or remorse. He doesn’t give a shit. I hope they feed him to fucking Francis Ngannou and he gets hurt badly.

That's about the only silver lining there could be in this whole thing, is that he ends up in a position above his capabilities and gets wrecked, preferably by somebody in a secure enough position that they can call him out for what he did. Until then though, he'll probably get a few wins and moments of glory. An Ngannou or Dos Santos, somebody generally thought of as likeable, beating the breaks off of him would be fitting.

The fact that the entire NFL cut ties with him, despite his abilities in that sport (considering the amount of other players with negative backgrounds that still have jobs) should have told the UFC to stay away from this guy.

Another fucked up story that I didn’t see posted on here - I only learned of it myself the other day - was Abdul Razak Alhassan being indicted for the rape of two women in the same night. The incident reportedly happened back in March but all the articles are from September and I never heard about it at all until a few days back. So I think it’s largely gone under the radar. Horrific story.

Alhassan was a guy I was really becoming a fan of and thought he came across really likeable in interviews and stuff. Just goes to show we think we know these guys because we see them all the time following the sport closely, but in truth we know so little. Mad to think that when he was KOing Niko Price at UFC 228 in September and we were all loving him, this story was lurking and we were none the wiser.

Had anyone heard this story or did I just completely miss it?

Here’s an article from Junkie on it;

Mad how it’s got so little coverage considering the seriousness of it.
