Keith Houchen
They'd both still beat CM Punk.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 25, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 25, 2018 Yep. And it was still only the third saddest fight last night, behind Chuck vs Tito 3 and me vs sobriety.

Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted November 28, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 28, 2018 Super Sexy Sage has been cut from the UFC. Apparently, he was after quite a bump in pay and Uncle Dana told him to earn it first.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted November 28, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 28, 2018 That's odd - thought I'd read on here that he'd already left, and was going to One? The whole "testing free agency" thing.
the_mole
He's not been cut, he's a free agent, they know he's limited right now, if One or whoever can develop him for a few years, they'll try and bring him back. They aren't going to give him a pay rise when they know right now he wouldn't beat anyone in the top 15 and Sage can probably make the same money over in One fighting easier competition, he's still only 22. Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted November 28, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 28, 2018 By "cut" I meant Dana wasn't paying what he was after, so they told him where to go. I wonder what his demands were?

the_mole
Darrion Caldwell (current Bellator BW Champion) Vs Kyoji Horiguchi (former top tier Flyweight in the UFC, with only two losses the last one to Mighty Mouse and is 10-0 since and fought to a decision with Nasakuwa in a Kick boxing match) for the Rizin Bantamweight title at NYE. This is the same card Floyd Mayweather Vs Tenshin Nasakuwa fight in a 3 round exhibition boxing match. Paid Members Carbomb Posted November 29, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 29, 2018 Not to mention Horiguchi retired Uncle Creepy, smashing him in just nine seconds! Looking at his record, it seems he's doing well at 135, which is good - it'd be a shame if it turned out he was like DJ and flyweight was his optimum, which would leave him screwed as regards UFC. the_mole
He won Rizins Bantamweight GP but they didn't have top tier Bantamweights in it. Someone said that BT stop showing the UFC on I think December 5th (and Eleven sports doesn't start until January) but I just seen an advert saying the Holloway Vs Ortega fight on December 8th on BT Sports
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted November 29, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 29, 2018 love that announcement from Rizin, proper New Years Eve flavour to that one. Shame they aren't going for a full Rizin vs. Bellator theme, that would have been brilliant.

Paid Members WeeAl Posted November 29, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 29, 2018 ONE Championship are still making moves: https://www.mmafighting.com/2018/11/29/18117768/one-championship-announces-signing-of-sexyama Ricardo Lamas had a scary situation recently. He suffered a blot clot (DVT) that he had during his fight with Elkins on the recent Argentina show. He thought it was a calf strain, but apparently it was the result of a drive from Miami to Chicago, followed by flights right after from Chicago to Houston and onwards to Buenos Aires. He's on blood thinners now and can't train until he gets the all clear the clot is gone and he can go off of the thinners.

Came here to post this. What a great fight. Sounds like Bellator have just agreed to let him go for a one fight thing.
