I was at Silverstone last weekend and had the best time ever! My mate won a pit walk for Thursday so we got to see into the garages and met Leclerc, Ericsson, Vettel, Jacques Villeneuve, Anthony David

Thought it was a great race today. One of the more entertaining in quite some time. There were lots of battles going on and I thought it was great. I feel sorry for both Haas drivers, obviously someth

Alonso tearing into the team for his piece of shit car over the radio is what kept me interested in F1 last season.  Long may he stay at McLaren and they keep putting sugar in his tank.

Channel 4 put a bid in to take the rights to F1 coverage back when BBC initially decided that they couldn't afford to air the full season live. The bid that they'd put together was actually really good, looking at making it a focal point of their coverage and having lots of archive footage, shows about the technological side and really trying to draw a new audience to the sport.

BBC and Sky got the coverage, and the rest is history. Now Channel 4 are back with their package, and I suspect they'll do a good job. Making it very clear from the offset that they won't run adverts during the race session is crucial, though I imagine pre- and post-race will be very advert heavy to compensate unless they decide they're going to take a leaf out of the American book and run side-by-side coverage to get some sort of commercial benefit during the race.

Now the big question is about who they'll get to front the coverage and in the commentary box. DC is rumoured to be on the new Top Gear, so I imagine that rules him out. Martin Haven as lead commentator would be fantastic. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, loves a good rant about safety cars.

Sebastien Loeb is leading the Dakar. How does he do it!? The man is incredible behind the wheel of a car. He's ultra competitive no matter the formula. F1 is about the only discipline he hasn't really featured in. What is this man made of?

Loeb crashed. On day 8. After dominating for the first week. Damaged the far, driver and navigator are OK. Attiyah leads.

Crazy finish to this years Le Mans 24hr

Race. Its well worth tracking down a highlights package or report of the race. As well as the surprising finish to the LMP1 class. We also had the drama of the Ford vs Ferrari battle in the GT class. Porsche were buzzing around them too.

Everything should have worked about Baku and then Rosberg snored his way to victory.

The general dullness of the last two weeks has been put on a pedestal by Pau di Resta. Why Sky thought they needed to draft in an even more boring version of David Coulthard, I don't know. Even more baffling was that Channel 4 appeared to have Karun 'Cucumber' Chandock, legitimately one of the shittest F1 drivers of recent years, doing punditry.

I changed over to the high-octane golfing action on Sky Sports 1 instead.

Di Resta was great and a welcome change from Brundle who has been going through the motions for a long time now.

He didn't tolerate or play along with any of Croft's idiotic comments either, ignoring him 90% of the time.

What's the TV coverage like? Where would be the best place to watch highlights for instance?

Thanks

Eurosport will do a highlights show. Quest have one on at 2300 tonight.

Ch4 also do a WEC highlights show that gets broad cast at the weekend around 6AM.
