The Why Don't You Get a Job Thread

Can you stick with your current job and get a part-time job in a bar or something on evenings and weekends? £150 a week is an extra £7K a year which should get you closer to that £23K (not sure what you're currently earning?). Or if you drive, go and cut 20 lawns each weekend for a tenner a go.

I'm on shift work at the moment or else would do that regarding second jobs. Tax would be a shit though as would have massive tax band at second job unless cash in hand, shifts are rarely announced much in advance and it's making commitment to things like volunteering projects nearly impossible as well. I'm on guaranteed part bonus on secondment as the new role doesn't have commission, so basic is around 17k. TS escorting is getting semi-serious consideration as it's CIH and depending on what route taken can pay extremely well.

I'm stuck with the dual whammy of needing a large raise in salary, but also to restablish my career, without, starting afresh every six months, it's a total head scratcher.

Pat, if you've got 30 minutes to an hour spare, look into matched betting. I've made just shy of 3 grand since November doing it but if you've got more time you can easily make a grand a month. It's definitely worth a look for some easy money.

The tax would be the same overall whether you earned the money all at one place, or split it over two. You won't pay any at 40% unless your over 43kish

Can someone start a new thread on this or bump an old one? I always like an extra bit of income coming in and mine are all pretty much dried up at the moment. I'm moving city soon too so something I can do remotely like this would be ideal.

I'm not too bothered about random gambling as I know it's just that, gambling, but the matched betting seems to offer some safety nets. Not looking at doubling my money or anything like that. 5-10% on my money back each month and I'd be happy.

Will have a goosey, bit wary of betting or matched betting, mainly because of a previous bandit addiction, but cant hurt to look into it properly.

Tell that to the NHS and various others I've had problems with.. 2 posts same trust, one temp post zero hours, the other substantive. Emergency tax on the substantive post, was a pain to sort that one out, and then they said they over paid me, however Tax office said otherwise and eventually got a rebate. . Best mates with the Tax Office at the moment as, change bawsed up my tax banding! "You don't exist, Miss Pat.." "Well actually I do, here's the reams of proof you've already had once, please be reimbursing me money now, k thanks bai!"

Slapnut, can you recommend any "how to" sites to get into this. I have £50 of fuck about money that I'd use. If I make anything g, great, if I lose it, I'll just be that down and give it up as a bad lot.

Www.profitaccumulator.com is the website I use (recommended from somebody on here, in fact). Providing you follow the guide correctly without making any mistakes, you won't lose any money.

Membership is £22.99 a month, but you'll easily make that back. They give you two free offers before you have to sign up which will basically pay for your first month.

Profit accy all the way.

They also provide 'how to' videos and if you get stuck, there's loads of help on board.

For those that use it, We're still doing pretty well, just a nightmare waiting for reload offers. The last 3 months of sparsely betting has paid for our end of May trip to Sweden.

Also, if anyone thinking of starting this gets on just in time for the euros and Olympics, there will be loads of offers.

I don't follow sports, so have no idea about studying form or any of that stuff. I'm also pretty clueless about betting in general. Am I still likely to be able to make any money from this?

I like money.

How time intensive is it?

As little as half an hour a day can make you £500 a month.  Obviously the more time you put into it the more you'll get out of it though.

Yeah you'd be fine.  The only sport I really follow is rugby but I only bet on football and horse racing and I know less than fuck all about both of them.  You won't need to research form or anything because, providing you're doing it correctly, you'll make the same money no matter what the result is.
