He sleeps like this all the time and has done since he was a puppy

Had to put koda to sleep, turned out his heart wasn’t working very well. I had the choice to bring him home with heavy medication but his quilality of life would have seen him unable to run around or active as he would want to be.

I’m crushed by his absence the house feels empty without the huge bark. Or him wondering around like a big smelly shadow.

Most loyal dog I ever owned

I'm so sorry to hear that man, you're going through an awful situation, it sounds like you did the right thing by koda but knowing that won't make you miss them any less, but you intervened before he had to suffer any more and that along with providing a loving home is the best an owner can do. Will be thinking of you @quote the raven.

So a couple of weeks ago I got home and as soon as I walked into the house with Oscar, he was acting weird. Following me about everywhere, trying to climb on top of my feet when I was standing at the sink. He was scared of something. I went upstairs and tried to get my work clothes and my shoes off but he kept climbing on top of me as I did it and then I opened the wardrobe to get a change of clothes and this happened:

It was only after similar behaviour a couple of weeks later, that I realised what it was. The electric had went out and with it, there was a sporadic 'bleep' out of the smoke alarm, maybe once every minute. Moral of the story, when we run out of electric on the metre, Oscar is going to the wardrobe.

Chester was a little shit during Xmas dinner yesterday, stealing at least two pigs in blankets and a slice of pork, but made up for it today by walking impeccably, barely pulling on his lead and only stopping in his usual favourite spot to look over the fence. If he keeps walking like this I’ll not only be stealing him from my parents and take him to London with me, I’ll be entering him into Crufts.

This is my friend Ozzy. Also goes by Ozzington, Ozwaldo Dogzwaldo, Ozzy Dogsbourne, Ozzington Dogglesford, Ozwald Cobblepot, Ozzy-Bear, and so on.

He's a retired racing greyhound. I've only had him since June and he is the greatest doggo. Sleeps for 18 hours a day, good with just three short walks and a quick toilet break late at night. Great with other dogs, loves all people, just need to look out for anything small/furry/fast moving that sets off his prey drive. Also he's never lived in a home before, so almost everything is a new experience for him. He's adjusting remarkably well though. You wouldn't think he could run at 40mph given how lazy he is, but when he sees a cat you can feel it. He's also enormous even by greyhound standards. That snazzy jacket from The Trendy Whippet is XL and it barely does the job.

He's awesome! And good on you for giving him a better life after racing; many poor greyhounds aren't so lucky, with some of the scum owners out there who will do all sorts of horrible things just to get rid of them when the they've stopped being useful.
