Awards Moderator Frankie Crisp Posted February 22, 2012 Awards Moderator Share Posted February 22, 2012 Bloody shame. Although I can't say I was his biggest fan once I hit my teens, Frank Carson will always be etched on my brain for being seemingly never off the telly on a Saturday evening when I was growing up. I used to do a great, and by great I mean shit, impression of him as a kid any time he was on the box. Â Poor sod, but not a bad knock.
patiirc
Frank Carson was a comedy staple growing up, he and Jimmy Cricket were on bloody everything. Crying shame RIP
Paid Members martyngnr Posted February 22, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 22, 2012 I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance. Â RIP Frank.
ItsClobberingTime
Brilliant timing, jokes that were actually funny, and true longevity. Â Above all else the bloke was absolutely lovely on the few occasions I met him, and never any different from what you saw in shows or on TV. Â RIP Frank - one of the best. The Four Horsemen
He did seem to appeal to all ages and as was pointed out this morning on the radio he was never classed as a true "blue" comedian. Â RIP Frank, you'll be missed.
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted February 23, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 23, 2012 He was really ill about 20 years ago, so it's a miracle he hit 85. Funny bloke, one of the nicest celebs I have ever met. Â RIP.
