So the final scores went into the original post this afternoon and the updated table appeared later on. Well, after a few low-scoring weeks, this is the round where it got interesting again. The D2D was incorrectly guessed after a topsy-turvy thriller in Lyon where 8 goals were eventually shared between the hosts and PSG. Of 19 other players, 12 rightly disagreed with smp to claim their bonus points, but unsurprisingly none of those went for the exact score, though a few who thought the home side would win were nearly right.

More importantly, this capped a bad week for the now former leader who could've gone clear at the top if he'd been luckier this time out. As it is, smp loses his place at the top, scoring only 4 points to slip to third. He's leapfrogged by stunstone and our third leader of this campaign, snowman dave, who was one of 4 participants into double figures this week. Another of that quartet was top scorer Rory, who managed a haul of 11 points. At the other end tom has been cut further adrift by El Espanacas, while Harvey Dent took this week's wooden spoon and seems determined to join the race for last place (even backing Spurs to win at the Emirates - for shame!). Two-Face will get a chance to rectify his recent poor form very soon, however.

As for the other games, Cardiff's late equaliser took the League Cup final to a shootout, which rendered it useless for point-scoring here. The fact that the Bluebirds came so close means that the people who bet on them here didn't look so foolish though, whilst those who expected a comfortable win for Liverpool maybe do. Elsewhere dipping into the third tier for the Steel City derby and another random fixture produced two 1-0 scorelines, which proved a bit of a mixed bag in terms of guesses. The other draw over the Channel was a more standard score and therefore easier to foresee. Closer to home, the EPL produced narrow away victories at Carrow and Loftus Roads plus a stalemate at the DW which all helped most of the scoring to get back to a respectable level. That said, Wolves' comeback at Newcastle and the crazy 7 goals at Arsenal ruined a few players' cards.

Right, that'll do methinks. Another set of 10 coming up in a few minutes, including an interesting - and early - D2D. Consider yourselves forewarned.
