patiirc
Ive never been too keen on Madonna, my folks, really like her so have heard and sen most of her stuff up to Ray of Light, since then when Ive caught her 'music' its been woeful, heard the latest on the radio the other day and cringed. Â Not going to say she isnt a superstar or whatnot, she just isnt for me.

Mr. Seven
Bullshit. 'Toxic' is on that album and that's better than the majority of Madonna's back catalogue.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 21, 2012 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 21, 2012 Toxic came out after it, though. Â I don't like Toxic nearly as much as I used to. Â Get in the chatroom as well.
Paid Members Chilly McFreeze Posted February 21, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 21, 2012 I have genuine love for early Madonna, I think Borderline is one the greatest pop songs ever written. Learning the chords on the piano or guitar can teach you everything you need to know about writing pop music.

Paid Members WWFChilli Posted February 21, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 21, 2012 I enjoy her early work up until around the Vogue era, and Ray of Light was a fine return to form. Â Personally disliked her stuff since she started acting like a 25 year old when she vastly approached double that age. That, and I thought she should have done time after the fucking abortion she did to 'American Pie'.
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted February 22, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 22, 2012 What was that song she did for the Austin Powers 2 soundtrack? I remember that being pretty good.

Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted February 22, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 22, 2012 The video she did for that gave me the horn back in the day. She lifts her top up, you know.
Paid Members Nick Soapdish Posted February 22, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 22, 2012 Madonna is one of my guilty pleasures and one of my favorite artists. Up until 1995, after which she is EXTREMELY patchy. Like a Prayer is an AMAZING album and she made some right crackers through out her career until the mid 90s. Â Really recommend Oh Father and Dear Jessie. Patrick Leonard (her main writer/producer during this period) should be applauded for all his work! GalaxyV.2
Fantastic in the 80s early 90s, patchy from then on, pretty shit this century. Its a pity she take herself so seriously these days, always seemed to have a sense of humor about her in the 80s.
The King Of Swing
Also, apparently contrary to everyone else in the world apart from the people that I watched with, I thought her show at the Super Bowl was great.   Her superbowl show was blinding, I thought.  I just watched it and thought it was pretty shit to be honest and seeing an her share the same stage as those LMFAO tossers made me weep a little inside.  Still though Madonna must work her fucking ass off to stay in the kind of shape she is in.  Suprised this hasn't made an appearance yet
The Maestro
Her 80's pop is great, but I really hate everything that she's done since 'Vogue' onwards (barring 'Beautiful Stranger'). And I'm probably in a minority here, but I really like Dick Tracy.
