The results and table were all updated and where they should be before the start of Elimination Chamber, so once more apologies for only getting round to the write-up now. It was a low-scoring week yet again with Rory the only participant to get into double figures, which was enough to overtake second highest scorer Lawz in lower mid-table. Joining cheetah on 8 points this time were snowman dave and sivy, who close the gap on the top two. TildeGuy had a bad round and tom got his picks in on time but fell further behind in last place.

Nobody thought Stevenage would hold Spurs to a stalemate at Broadhall Way, but the next worst match for exact scores was the crazy scoreline on Sicily as Palermo ran riot against a Lazio defence described as "makeshift" by the Football Italia website. Of the two home wins in the Championship, Ipswich's was the more comfortable but considered beforehand to be less likely. Also hard to foresee was Bari's victory in Tuscany, but the other Italian games proved a tad more fruitful. Elsewhere back in the Cup, most players rightly backed Stoke to win at the Broadfield, but Bolton easily averting an upset at the New Den was tougher to guess, and quite a few people thought Arsenal would at least earn a replay at the Stadium of Light too. Sadly for them lightning didn't strike twice in consecutive weeks and the Gunners were knocked out.

Right, less than a quarter of an hour away from Week 30 then. This season hasn't half gone quickly. There will be a D2D this time, and it could well be the most important one yet...
