According to Meltzer, they only had Russo there to fill in the format sheet - as neither Prichard or Bischoff can be arsed doing it. So you can understand why he thought it was beneath him. It's two year too late though.

The Lagana thing is a puzzler. I'm also interested to see how he does without having the McMahon's there (if he is working on Impact Wrestling).

I hope the "Hogan and Bischoff steal the timeslot from TNA and make a brand new promotion in bed with Spike" is true.

Surprises every week, AL GREEN, BRUTII!!!!

It'd be like watching Jan 4th every week. I'd love it. It would keep me warm at night in it's muscular arms and tell me "it's all going to be alright". I really hope it happens. It'd be like a big new XWF.

Both Hogan and Bischoff have been Tweeting/Facebooking that Lagana is in and Russo is still on very good terms with TNA.

Lagana is quite good on Twitter, always on during Raw and usually has some good chat and he's very good at getting people talking about certain things. Mostly about wrestling, which is good.

Me, too. Bischoff and Hogan could have final say on everything. Impact would be filmed from the roof of a Vegas casino. They could get the Magnificant Seven back together. Sonny Onoo's son just won a martial arts tournament. They could do cross promotion with Bellator, and have Sonny Jr slap all the MMA fighters about because he's from the Land of the Rising Sun. Life would be good.

It all makes sense now.

Not sure how true this is but Jerry Jarrett posted this on his Facebook a few hours ago :-

Jerry W. Jarrett

Since the news broke that TNA and Vince Russo have severed their relationship, I've gotten several request for comments. I have been hesitant to comment because Jimmy Cornette and I are dear friends. However, Mike Mooneyhan scolded me for allowing my friendship with Corney to get in the way of honest journalism. Because of my great respect for Mike, I've decided to break a confidence of another close friend.

"Based on reliable sources, Vince Russo and Jimmy Cornette came to terms on a multi-year contract several months ago for Russo to join Jimmy as creative director of ROH."

Sounds like Jerry's idea of a joke. Although, ROH should try and get Russo in as a onscreen character. Even I would love a Cornette and Russo verbal battle on ROH TV.

Mind you, I would piss my pants if Russo went to ROH. And I'd even post the aftermath of what hearing the news did to my boxer shorts on this forum. I'd watch it every week.

I dont imagine they could afford him, anyway.

You say that, but ROH cant switch a fucking light bulb on without him. Final Battle was embarrassing for a promotion in 2011. Without Lagana, ROH has no idea how to produce a show. Its quite hilarious when 6 minutes of a PPV is just a red screen with the ring announcer saying "we arent on the air yet, but when we got live, we want to hear you ... MAKE SOME ROH STYLE NOISE!!!! BABY!!!!" It was like, "erm ... you are on air mate. I can hear you".

Now we see how much of the bad s**t in TNA was actually Russo's fault.

Don't think he would go to ROH as he is completely out of whack with anything in their product, a shame as a Russo/Cornette confrontation would be the 2nd greatest thing outside the big 2 in the USA in years.

Russo gets alot of flack, even from me at times, he needs a filter, someone to go through his ideas and throw out the crap ones, also his structuring is a mess but these are issues that can be sorted easily.

I'm not denying he did a lot production wise but plenty of ROH iPPVs have had problems in the past so it's not as if it's just a problem now Lagana is gone.

That's got nothing to do with this though seeing as he's now on the creative team. Will be interesting to hear whether he practices what he preaches - I'm guessing he won't.

Why would you guess he wont? You are judging him before he's started his job by saying "they've replaced him with someone just as bad". If he's just as bad as Russo, why did Cornette love working with Lagana? I know Cornette will work for any product whether he believes in it or not as long as he's sniffing wrestlers jock staps these days, but he must have seem something in him.

Does make you wonder. Jarrett's fucked off the India, Russo and his son have quit, Bob Ryder and Terry Taylor are no longer there. Strange. Look who has the power now? Lagana, Pritchard and Bischoff.

Hostile takeover, anyone?

Roddy Piper thinks that he did worse to Owen. In fact, didnt russo write that?

In Bret Hart's book he says that Owen was supposed to have a extra safety harness on the harness and grapple that took him down to the ring during his "flying" Blue Blazer entrance that in theory could have saved his life.

But it was supposed to be Russo's idea that he had no extra safety harness so he could perform a "hillarious" pratfall just as he landed.

I think that's where all the comments about Russo killing Owen come from that and the fact the Blue Blazer revival gimmick was his idea in the first place.
