EVERTON 2 MAN UTD 3

SCORERS......... Messi, robben ,ronaldo, fabio conentrao, van der varrt

Everton go down to a 92 min goal very unhappy to conceded at that time and not for the first time

You played very good mate should be impressed with the performance coming to Old Trafford and losing 3-2 is not that bad. Messi took his goal lovely, he aint missing when he is in the box.

Thought the penalty decision was harsh, was very unhappy with that call by the ref as my player clearly took the ball.

Both teams played well but boro prob edged it and are the team who will be thinking they have dropped 2 points were as i feel happy to have got a point in the end

Middlesbrough 5 - 5 Everton

Etoo X 3 Tevez X 2

Villa Conterao

Lampard Carvalho

Wilshere

A disrupted match due to two disconnections led to a bonkers scoreline of 5-5 draw. The Toffees took the lead in the first couple of minutes through a Tevez goal, However just as the ball hit the back of the net the floodlights went out at Goodison Park. Both managers regrouped to try and get the match on again moments later; however lightning struck twice as Tevez scored his second of the game and another blackout occured. It was decided that the rest of the game would be played behind closed doors of the Riverside Stadium.

Boro got off to a rapid restart by scoring three quickfire goals thanks to an Etoo double and a Villa strike. Everton got back into it just before half time when Carvalho nodded home from a corner. Everton were given a debatable penalty in the second half which Conterao tucked home under the body of Reina.

The Toffees lead was short lived however after Etoo sealed his hat trick and Lampard scored a 25 yard daisy cutter to regain the lead, but Boro were not to get a win as Wilshere scored an injury time equalizer.

The disconnections were really frustrating, probably not as much as Pete is feeling as he took the lead so easily in the first two attempts. The third go I won the game 5-3 and I am a bit disappointed not to come away with the three points. That is the life!

Torquay 4 - 5 Middlesbrough

An exciting end to end free scoring match, as you'd expect from the two teams with the worst goal difference in the league. It was Boro who dominated in the early stages of the game, forcing an early corner after Akinfeev had to make a good stop in the first few minutes. Torquay hadn't got into the game but after winning a throw deep in the Boro half, a cross was intercepted by the Boro defence in the box but Pazzini won it back and scored with an easy finish to put The Gulls ahead. It was harsh on Boro, especially as it was the first time Torquay had really left their own half. Just eight minutes later Samir Nasri put Torquay two up after an assist from Pazzini. It looked like The Gulls were going to cruise to an easy victory but six minutes later Franck Ribery cut inside and thundered a shot off the post and in from the edge of the box. Torquay still had their foot of the pedal and after winning the ball back in midfield Samuel Eto'o received the ball in acres of space to equalise with an easy finish. The crowd had to wait thirteen minutes for the next goal when Ribery scored his second of the match after waltzing through the United defence. Four minutes later and Boro were the ones who were two up in an astonishing first half turn around when Boro quickly countered and Eto'o scored when one-on-one with Akinfeev. Torquay showed there was still fight left in them though just before the break when the ball was worked into the box enabling Samir Nasri to sidefoot home a third for Torquay.

Twelve minutes after the break and The Gulls pulled off a comeback of their own when Pazzini resisted the attention of a couple of Boro defenders and managed to stumble through on goal and level the scores. It didn't stay level for long and in the 64th minute Boro were on the attack and got into the box where the ball was cutback to Eto'o who completed his hat trick and put Boro back into the lead. In the last part of the game Torquay showed the same fight they showed to comeback from 4-2 down and were the better side late on. Yann M'Vila showed all the finishing qualities of a defensive midfielder when he scuffed his effort just wide when through on goal. After that it was the Pepe Reina show. Pazzini was played through on goal but his effort was well saved by the Spaniard. Soon after Samir Nasri was one-on-one with the 'keeper but Reina saved his effort as well. Just as the game entered injury time, Reina made the most vital stop of all. Christian Maggio showed great tenacity down the right and after winning the ball back from the defence he played in a low cross which was turned goalwards by Pazzini, the Torquay bench and the home crowd were already on their feet but somehow Reina managed to stop it. A very entertaining game overall and though it could have gone either way Boro exacted revenge from earlier in the season when they could have got a point from the first fixture between the sides but came away empty handed. Middlesbrough's incredible recent run continues whilst Torquay now look in danger of dropping into the bottom two.

Torquay goals: Pazzini (7', 57'), Nasri (15', 44')

Middlesbrough goals: Ribery (21', 38'), Eto'o (25', 42', 64')
