WWE Smackdown - *Spoilers* For 1/20/2012

Here are the spoiler's for this week's Smackdown:

*World champ Daniel Bryan comes out first for a promo. Explains that what the Big Show did last week was a sin and that he pretended to be sorry. The crowd is all over Bryan as a heel. Bryan is awesome in this role. He says AJ put herself in that position because she loves him. He says Show should do the right thing and just quit. Don't know how this will come off on TV but the crowd hates this guy.

*Cody Rhodes vs. Hornswoggle. Justin Gabriel came out to stick up for Hornswoggle and take his place. Rhodes wins with his finisher.

*Mark Henry is in the back next and spins the wheel. He gets a Lumberjack match. He says Daniel Bryan is next in the Hall of Pain.

*WWE Tag Champions Primo and Epico defeated The Uso Brothers.

*Brodus Clay comes out for a dance off next against Vickie Guerrero. Total heat for Vickie. This woman can't dance and the crowd is behind Clay. He wins the dance off and Vickie tries to dance again when William Regal comes out and pleads with the people not to laugh at her and escorts her away. Brodus then insults Regal and challenges him to a dance off. Wrestling purists are rolling in their graves. When Regal starts dancing, Clay catches Regal with a splash and dances around the ring.

*Tables match: Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett. After a Jinder Mahal distraction, Barrett puts Sheamus through a table. Mahal attacks Sheamus. Sheamus puts Mahal through a table.

*Ted DiBiase vs. Hunico in a flag match. DiBiase wins after getting the USA flag.

*Teddy Long in the back fires Drew McIntyre. Santino begs for Drew's job back and challenges him to match. He spins the wheel and gets a Blindfold match. If Drew wins, he keeps his job.

*Santino vs Drew McIntyre blindfold match. It makes Rick Martel vs. Jake Roberts look like Flair vs. Steamboat. Pure comedy. Santino wins with the Cobra. Guess Drew is fired again!

*Lumberjack match next. Mark Henry vs. Daniel Bryan for the World title. Match goes to no contest after The Lumberjacks attack both guys and Bryan leaves. Henry leaves also while the lumberjacks are fighting Rumble style. Sheamus starts throwing people over the top to show he can win the Rumble. The show ends with Sheamus standing tall in center of ring.

I think this sounds alright, they have to be going with the Triple Threat for World title at the Rumble after three weeks of non finishes so that's good. Sheamus/Barrett and DiBiase/Hunico sound decent, but I could have done without more Santino "Comedy" especially at the expense of Drew McIntyre. My only other concern is that now Primo & Epico have beaten The Uso's, they have ran out of opponents which is pretty bizarre.

Sounds like a decent show I reckon. Looking forward to it. The exception is that segment with Big Brodus. It sounds absolutely horrendous. I'll wait to see it to judge it but it doesn't sound good. It should cement him as a baby though. Someone mentioned building up the US champion to put over Brodus at WrestleMania and I think that sounds cracking. If he has a good showing in the Rumble, he'll be on his way.

Even seeing the tears of The Big Show last week made me hate Daniel Bryan. I'm choking up now.

At least they're dead though, which is the important thing.

Really loving Bryan at the moment, so looking forward to all of this. Sounds like another good Smackdown in a run of them.

I reckon a mini-feud between Regal and Brodus could be good to be honest. Regal is generally gold in everything he does.

Am really liking that WWE is giving storylines and air-time to newer guys - it just makes everything feel a bit fresher in my opinion and allows new stars the time to develop and break through.

So where are the mugs that said Daniel Bryan can't cut a promo and doesn't have charisma? The lad is on fire at the minute, I loved his line "she loves me... and I have a great admiration for her as well". He's the most unlikeable person on the roster at the minute, great stuff. He's having some fun matches with Show and Henry too, can't wait for their big cage match. I know he's at best a transitional champion (in the Jericho mold) but I'd love it if they kept the title on him all the way to 'Mania, using both his smarts and flukyness to retain it, leading to Orton winning it back. My only complaint is the odd dynamic of heel Cole still burying him, it's not terrible but it grates a little.

The Brodus dance off wasn't as bad as it should have been. Regal stole the show, so much so the crowd booed Brodus when he attacked Regal.

Poor Regal. I'm all for Brodus squashing people, but it seems like thats as good as they see Regal these days. On the bright side, Brodus is now offering people out for a dance off. I like how he's a dangerous man and likes a dance. I was fearing they'd go the Viscera route, where he'd be a laugh but end up getting beat every other match.

Smackdowns an odd show. There's so much stuff I fancy watching, but because its Smackdown I can never be arsed to watch it.

another top Smackdown, the evolution of Daniel Bryan is one of my favourite things on WWE right now. Fantastic promo to begin with then a decent match with Henry where he heeled it up to the Lumberjacks. I loved how the main event turned into a Rumble preview!

Also, did anyone notice Justin Gabriel had changed tights from his match with Cody to the Lumberjack match...just thought it was odd.

Also fuck! Triple Threat Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Title at the Rumble, its gonna be good!

He had a better line last week where he said "she told me she loves me....and I appreciate that"

I thought it was a really good SmackDown. Daniel Bryan was on top form, the main event was great. Nerdy point, but I liked that Mark Henry didn't do the "I'M A BIG MAN AND I'M PUTTING MY ARMS IN POSITION TO THROW THIS BLOKE UP IN THE AIR" thing when Bryan was pinning him. Big Show is fucking terrible for that, gives it away every time.

I enjoyed Brodus' bit, and the table match. There was nothing on the show that dragged for me. I never noticed the Gabriel costume change either, but that is weird!

I'm watching this at the moment and Vickie Guerrero actually does the Elaine dance from Seinfeld. Amazing!

I think it was let down a bit by Kaitlyn having done it in a WWE dance contest not that long ago.

The annoying thing is that he seems to do it for every pin (or almost every pin), which to me takes it away from it in the first place. It would be better if he did it once or even twice, in well-placed parts of the match, to give a lot more meaning. Like other big wrestlers sometimes do against smaller guys.
