So much for no disruption. I've been very busy this past week and while I should have less on my plate soon enough, from the next round onwards my internet connection situation is uncertain. But we'll get back to that at the start of the next round. To wrap up this thread, the results went into the original post on Monday and the table was finally updated just now. In another low-scoring week, smp again extended his lead to a now healthy-looking 7 points, while stunstone leapfrogged TUFCfan into second spot. El Espanacas still occupies last place but closes the gap to tom by a point as defending champion hbk4life had a poor round, finishing as lowest scorer with just 2 points.

Christmas may be long over, but where I am we've seen more long-awaited snow in the last few days than we did in the previous 3 months, so it's perhaps it's appropriate that snowman dave creeps further up the table as top scorer. For the 2nd week running only one participant made it into double figures. Dave has a chance to be highest scorer again next time as it's his D2D, which could well see him go top if he gets it right. No pressure then...

... but I'm getting slightly ahead of myself. Although neither Ligue 1 side was knocked out in our selected French Cup ties, I think Bordeaux needing penalties somewhat justifies including the matches, as it shows you never know what can happen. Special mention to Rory for getting those games correct, when some people were way off the mark with 4- and 5-nil guesses.

Elsewhere home wins for Fulham, City, QPR and Sunderland proved fairly fruitful, but in all cases exact scores were hard to come by. Not many three-pointers from the away victories in the 2 West Midlands clashes either. Strangely enough even Harvey Dent got the scoreline at the Emirates right, and Blackburn's 1-1 draw at Goodison was the must useful result of the lot.

Right, in a rush again now so that'll do. New set of 10 in a few minutes!
