Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted January 20, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 20, 2012 So, going by that it could be interesting to predict where this year's 30 will be in 10 year's time. It will be interesting to see where this lot are in a years time, giving the revolving door they've had since the mid-2000s. Royal Rumble 2008 looks a completely different promotion compared to now. Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted January 21, 2012 Awards Moderator Share Posted January 21, 2012 Ever thought about stats for the most common methods of elimination? I just watched the 1990 Rumble match and it seemed like half the entrants were eliminated via back body drop over the ropes - whereas something like the top rope being pulled down from the apron (which Perfect did to Rude in 1990) must have happened far less frequently. It'd be interesting to know (and time-consuming to find out) what the most effective way of eliminating someone has been over the years.
patiirc
Second the above. Â Also what are the stats for the total number of participants per rumble, whether legal or not? Â Cheers
Paid Members ShortOrderCook Posted January 22, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 22, 2012 On the 'surprise/guest entrant' front and having videos announcing their return or debut, Undertaker made his return after a hiatus in the 2003 Rumble, which was announced through some video packages and made a lot of people believe he was returning as The Phenom version, then rolled out on his bike. Â And didn't Vader debut in '96 Rumble, also announced via a Royal Rumble Roundup/magazine show? I'm sure he did. Â Also, what about Beth Phoenix in 2010?
