When it became clear that Generico wasn't going to be at this show, I started hoping for Marty vs Fox, so I'm made up with this.

It looks to be an absolute cracker and I cannot wait to get to Sittingbourne to see what is top to bottom a potential show of the year.

Samuels vs Mastiff

Almost two years ago began the rise of both of these men. Mastiff returned from America to win the IPW:UK Undisputed British Championship in Feb 2010 and two months later Sha Samuels turned on Terry Frazier and became the most dominating heel in IPW, a position he's held since then. The two were on a similiar ascension and a clear collision course that occured in December of that year in Sha's first ever challenge for the belt and a match in which there was a real danger to bring an end to Mastiff's title reign. In the end, Samuels ended up winning that match via DQ when Terry Frazier interfered, an action that resulted in a feud ending I Quit match between the two the next March. Sha "won" that match when Frazier, after leaving Samuels beaten and down in the middle of the ring decided to quit and walk away from his feud with Samuels.

Mastiff vs Samuels II for the Title was supposed to happen in May 2011 but Takeshi Morishima got added to the match to make it a three way. In that match between three big brutes, Mastiff lost the belt to Samuels after both T-Bone and Rockstar Spud interfered to ensure Samuels became the new Champion and a new alliance was formed. Mastiff, enraged at being cheated out of his Undisputed British Title wanted immediate justice and revenge and he was able to get his hands on Samuels at the next show in a tag match featuring Lion Kid and Spud, a match in which Mastiff's team won when Lion Kid pinned the new champ. This resulted in Lion Kid getting first shot at Samuels Title in a losing effort in November, the same night that Mastiff, rather than getting an automatic rematch for the Title he was screwed out of, ending up having to win a brutal four way elimination match against four heavyweights where he was able to gain a little bit more revenge against the new trio of power in IPW:UK when he pinned T-Bone.

But by the end of that show, Samuels, Spud and T-Bone had left Mastiff beaten and humiliated and swore that he would never regain his Title. It's been 24 months since Mastiff initially won the belt. 14 months since their first singles match. 9 months since Samuels took the belt from Mastiff under dubious terms. And since that time the war between these two has gotten very heated and very personal. This will be an intense brawl between two heavyweights and two big hitters with the potential threat of Spud and T-Bone on hand at any time.

Stone vs Finlay

The main thing you know you're going to get from a Fit Finlay match is a brawl. When they say Finlay is a man who loves to fight when you've seen his matches against Benoit and Regal from WWE and matches against Sami Callihan and Kevin Steen on his recent Indy run prove testament to this fact. Finlay really has become known as a smash mouth, hard hitting wrestler and fans are always eager to see him face a man who can stand toe to toe with him and dish out as much punishment as they are no doubt going to get. IPW:UK really have exceeded themselves by putting Finlay in the same ring as Martin Stone. This really is a match that only IPW:UK could have booked.

A lot of fans may have never thought this match possible. There was a lot of talk in 2010 over the summer that Stone was signed to the WWE and would be finishing up his commitments in England before heading to the states. Then last year it was that he was going to be out after knee surgery before he would go over to the states. Now the status of Stone is unknown and unclear, IPW:UK saying back in November that he only wanted to face the best in the world while he was still available, but whatever the reason for why we have Stone and for why he is now available for this show, I don't care. All I care about is that I'm going to watch him and Finlay beat the absolute hell out of one another and I am going to love every single minute of it.

It's been said that this is a big match for Martin Stone. It'll have been well over a year since he beat Leroy Kincaid in what we all felt was his IPW:UK send off in December 2010. I have always rated Martin Stone and felt he was one of England's best but when you reach a level of such consistent quality, it's harder to wow and really impress an audience who already expects the very best from you. With this year long absence, Stone will already be receiving a hero's welcome from the Sittingbourne audience, but he will be wanting to make an exclamation mark on that return by showing just what BritWres has been missing over the past 14 months and he will achieve that by fighting tooth and nail with Finlay. Samuels/Mastiff will have a heated brawl because they hate each other. Stone/Finlay will have a fight for the love of the competition.

Ego vs Thrillers

It's hard to believe that this is another first time ever match. Back in 2008 these two teams could have been considered two of the best in BritWres at that time. Project Ego really were coming into their own in 08 with fantastic tag team matches against Hubba Bubba Lucha in 1PW culminating in them winning that promotions tag team belts and then finishing that year by beating Johnny Storm and Jody Fleisch, the first holders of said tag team Title's and probably known as England's best tag team a few years before. The Thrillers were similiarly successful that year down south winning both RQW and IPW:UK Tag Team Title's. But both teams would end up losing each of their respective tag team Title's in 2009 and by 2010 each team weren't teaming as regularly as what they once had. Kirby and Trav began feuding with one another in a few promotions and branched out independently. Haskins went to Japan for Dragon Gate in 2010 and then earned a position with TNA in America last year so the re-union of The Thrillers that was made at the back end of 2010 was short lived and in their time spent together again the best they managed was a loss to The All Stars in March.

Project Ego really have made an impact since they arrived in IPW:UK. They were due to be drafted in as challengers to The LDR's but Zack's NOAH commitments put that match on the back-burner as they defeated the make shift tandem of Jon Ryan and BJW's Shinya Ishikawa. At the last show The LDR's where already prior-booked in a tag team Title match against The Young Bucks so again Ego defeated another make shift tandem of 4FW wrestlers The Saint and Jason Larusso. Ego have made no secret since their debuts that they are there for The LDR's IPW:UK tag team Title's and while again The LDR's were already prior booked, this time they face a sterner challenge in a team who have already held the IPW:UK British Tag Team Title's. This is the biggest test that Ego have faced in IPW so far, and for The Thrillers if Mark Haskins is available for more dates, it's an opportunity to get back in Title contention and potentially revisit their feud with The LDR's almost three years later.

This would've been a big match in 2008, but it has potential to be an even bigger match in 2012. We all know how Haskins has climbed over the past four years. Redman has become one of the most technically gifted wrestlers England has produced since Doug and Nigel. Kirby really did have a break out year last year with a well deserved place on a Dragon Gate UK show, and Travis has improved over the years as well. One of these teams is due for a Title match with The LDR's so both will be out to steal the show and earn that future Title match.

I'll finish writing the other three matches sometime later in the week.

Hasn't been mentioned on the old 'Keff yet, but twitter tells me IPW:UK are bringing back their 'Battle Royale' event on 31 March in Swanley, Kent.

Always used to be one the genuine highlights of IPW:UK's year back when they ran in Orpington. A 30 man royal rumble, where the winner gets a "money in the bank"-style opportunity to create any match they want, any time they want, for an entire year.

There is also the added interest in that anyone who eliminates a champion (including tag champions) from the rumble gets a shot at that belt at the follow-up show, usually 'Royale Rewards'.

The Battle Royale has brought some great moments, such as:

- JC Thunder eliminating Andy Simmonz (thus earning his title shot at at time when he had never, ever won a single match);

- "Bone Idle" Ian Logan appearing as Geoff Garrett each year, each time representing a different Jeff Jarrett look.

- Martin Kirby's IPW:UK debut, being killed by eXodus in about 4 seconds

- The IPW:UK vs. 3CW mini-scenario

- Marty Scurll and Paul Robinson each eliminating one of the tag champions, forcing them together as a team for their title shot, thus leading to the formation of the Leaders of the New School

- "Russ The Security Guy" making an in-ring appearance

Any more?
