Spot a shitty house show

Inspired by the UK No Mercy thread, let's remember the days when you didn't just have two WWF shows splitting the roster, but rather 3 or even 4 shows a night, leaving some suckers in a high school gym with less than a cavalcade of stars. What's the worst house show (either in terms of likely match quality or lack of star power) you can find at www.thehistoryofwwe.com?

Here's a few to start off. (Hint: I searched for "Dino Bravo".)

WWF @ Amsterdam, NY - High School - July 23, 1988

Jerry Allen vs. the Iron Sheik

B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell vs. Jacques & Raymond Rougeau

Bret Hart vs. Danny Davis

Ken Patera vs. Dino Bravo (arm wrestling match)

Ken Patera vs. Dino Bravo

Also included 1 other bout

There were quite a few along these lines, though presumably they didn't all draw this badly:

WWF @ Enfield, CT - September 19, 1988 (350)

Paul Roma defeated Barry Horowitz

Lanny Poffo pinned George Skaaland

Jim Duggan pinned Dino Bravo

The One Man Gang pinned Ken Patera

Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty defeated the Conquistadors

(Yep, just a few months into their run, the Rockers are already going on last and working 25 minute matches to try to leave fans going home in something close to a good mood.)

Or, of course, the classic "Yep, the first six matches sucked, but Anderson and Blanchard are closing the show.... oh)

WWF @ Allentown, PA - May 22, 1989

Jeff Bronsky defeated Barry Horowitz

Dino Bravo defeated Hercules

WWF Women's Champion Rockin Robin defeated Judy Martin

Big John Studd defeated Andre the Giant via disqualification

King Jim Duggan pinned Haku

Tom Magee pinned Tim Horner

The Bushwhackers defeated Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard

Meanwhile the Rougeau Brothers were known for incorporating what is technically known as "house show bullshit" in their squash matches. It's nights like this where they probably got the chance to refine it:

WWF @ Tulare, CA - July 15, 1988 (1,400; sell out)

Iron Mike Sharpe pinned Terry Gibbs

WWF Women's Champion Sensational Sherri defeated Rockin Robin

Jacques & Raymond Rougeau defeated B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell

Hercules pinned Ken Patera

Koko B. Ware defeated the One Man Gang via disqualification

Kids, tonight the best advice is *don't* stay in school:

WWF @ Howell High School - March 19, 1986

Ted Arcidi vs. Ron Shaw

The Haiti Kid vs. Butch Cassidy

SD Jones vs. Barry O

Velvet McIntyre vs. Leilani Kai

Pedro Morales & Tony Atlas vs. the Moondogs

Las Cruces, NM 22 July 1988

DJ Peterson beat Barry Horowitz

Sensational Sherri beat Rockin' Robin

Paul Roma & Omar Atlas beat Barry Horowitz & Siva Afi

Frenchy Martin beat Koko B. Ware

Tito Santana beat Ron Bass

*edit* actually edit, as the next night in Roswell, NM is worse as Peterson beat Billy Anderson in the opener whilst the rest of the card was the same (plus, Barry Horowitz twice on a show is never a bad thing!)

Apart from the Mysterio tag this looks poor:

WCW @ Daytona Beach, FL - Ocean Center - April 14, 1999 (3,742 paid)

Prince Iaukea defeated an unknown

Jerry Flynn defeated Ernest Miller

Konnan defeated Mike Enos

Hugh Morrus defeated Norman Smiley

Rick Steiner defeated Horace

WCW Tag Team Champions - WCW Cruiserweight Champion Rey Mysterio Jr. & Billy Kidman defeated Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko

Randy Savage defeated Disco Inferno

Apart from the main event this looks crap!

WCW @ Knoxville, TN - Civic Coliseum - May 23, 1999

Kenny Kaos defeated Erik Watts

Evan Karagias defeated Bobby Eaton

Ernest Miller defeated Prince Iaukea

Scotty Riggs defeated Bobby Duncum Jr.

Scott Norton defeated Hak in a hardcore match

Diamond Dallas Page defeated Stevie Ray

WCW Cruiserweight Champion Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Chris Benoit

I'm sure this is one that some of you will have been to:

WCW @ Manchester, England - Evening News Arena - March 12, 2000 (16,318; sell out)

Norman Smiley defeated Brian Knobbs

The Wall defeated David Flair

WCW TV Champion Jim Duggan defeated Fit Finlay

Curt Hennig & Vampiro defeated Ric Flair & Lex Luger

Terry Funk defeated Dustin Rhodes

Booker T defeated WCW US Champion Jeff Jarrett via disqualification

WCW Tag Team Champions Big Vito & Johnny the Bull defeated Ron & Don Harris

Other than the above. The other house shows would have been really watchable.

Rockers

Rougeaus

Brain Busters

Andre

etc

Yeah, really rubbish, NAWT

Not a specific show, but I think a show that ended with Diesel and/or Sid having a 3 minute last match to end the show would kill anyone's enjoyment, even if beforehand the rest of the Kliq. Hart and Taker put on stormers.

The worst card of the year honours for WWF/WWE msut go to the summer tent shows in Hyannis etc. I remember the other year the main events were Matt Hardy vs Mark Henry. Woeful.

The BrainBusters were awesome, but they ain't saving a show working with the Bushwhackers. And you do realise those Andre-Studd matches were so bad that once *Andre* fell asleep in the middle of one?

I know WWF did some horrible shows in Australia in the mid 80s.

Witness:

WWF @ Sydney, Australia - Entertainment Center - November 15, 1985

Tony Parisi defeated Tiger Chung Lee

Jim Brunzell defeated Nikolai Volkoff via count-out

Leilani Kai defeated Susan Starr

Les Thornton defeated the Tiger

B. Brian Blair defeated the Iron Sheik

Adrian Adonis defeated SD Jones

The Junkyard Dog defeated Iron Mike Sharpe

I can see plenty of reasons to see this show, I think this is a very harsh inclusion. Flair, Lugar, Hennig, Funk, Dustin, Jarrett, Booker...even Duggan & Finlay. It looks like a slightly better version of the WWA shows that were around in 2002 or so.
