Smegma Cake Posted December 9, 2011 Share Posted December 9, 2011 Have WWE yet said if every match is going to have a stipulation like last year's TLC PPV did?  Not but they've done it on the past few iterations  No they haven't. They've only ever done two TLC pay-per-views before. Last year had one non-gimmick match (the tag title match), and 2009 had three non-gimmick matches.  My mistake, I read the first post wrong. Â Nash/HHH is one im most intrigued about I think, I don't expect a classic match but I do expect something to go down, if Undertaker isnt returning till after the Rumble, Triple H will need something to do for a bit, so I reckon we could get some interference here helping Nash win, who I have a no idea, but I reckon someone will. Â Punk/Miz/Del Rio is about as predictable a title match as theres been all year, there's no way Punk's losing here, that being said I reckon it'll be a great match, I'll say Punk to pin Del Rio, so we can have Punk/Miz at the Rumble for the belt. Â Tonight could finally be Zack Ryder's night as well. I really hope it is, I kinda hope Vickie accidently costs Ziggler the match, Ziggler is far above this title and program now, so I wouldnt like to see someone like Ryder beat him clean, he can then split from Vickie as well, and make 2012 his year. Â Henry/Big Show I expect will be good again, Barrett/Orton is a big match for Barrett too, really hope they have Wade win this one in a not too flukey fashion. Booker and Rhodes is another match im excited for as well. Â Thats 6 matches, so something else is bound to be added. Cena has been tweeting all weekend about how he isnt even going to be in Baltimore let alone at the PPV, so it seem's theyre serious about keeping him off this one. It is connected correctly, but as long as I ring the number (dont have to speak to anyone) it's ordered anyway. I think I might order this, got nothing to do tomorrow. The guy did chuckle when I informed him it was the WWE PPV I wanted to order and not a movie. Not sure if he was mocking me or he genuinely felt like a tit because he'd been trying for five minutes to fix my accounts viewing card thing, but was on the movies section and not the events. I phoned the number that appeared on the 'insufficient funds' screen, which may be different from the regular box office line. So perhaps thats why. High hopes for the Triple Threat TLC, hopefully Punk retains and goes into the new year on a high and holds the belt until 'mania. Ziggler vs Ryder should be fun, and hopefully WWE decide to give Ryder the feel good moment cause we all know it would be awesome. Orton vs Barrett could be great and if Wade gets the win he could rise up the card and cement himself near the top of Smackdown, and he doesn't have to pin Orton he has to put him through a table so heres hoping. Big Show vs Mark Henry should be the brawl to end all brawls and with the additions of it being a 'Chairs Match' (what exactly is a Chairs match?) it should be a great brawl, although I'm expecting some sort of Kane involvement maybe... I'm excited to see Booker T back in the ring and i can see him and Cody having a good match. Nash vs HHH i couldn't give a crap about, but heres hoping it'll be okay... Â I just realised i used the word hopefully a lot there....i just want it to be a great ppv to end the year with! Â What do we expect John Cena to do aswell? He's not advertised, he's not on the initial card and the only logical reasons he'd be on the show is to help Zack Ryder win but that's not going to make Ryder look good, or do something to follow up the Kane beat down. LariatTom Posted December 18, 2011 Share Posted December 18, 2011 Tonight's card doesn't look anything special on paper, but I've liked the last few years of running a TLC PPV and it's provided some really good matches. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Ryder finally gets to win the title from Ziggler. Dolph's been on fire recently putting on some absolutely cracking matches and I see no reason why that should be any different. Â The TLC match should be really good fun. I can't see anything other than Punk retaining, but it'll still be a good match and I have no doubt we'll see something crazy from those three. Really looking forward to the show, especially since I'll be watching it with a group of friends. Easily my preferred method of watching the show. The match I'm most looking forward to is Rhodes/Booker - I'm a fan of both guys and I don't expect this to be a match of the year candidate but I can imagine it being decent. Hoping Booker wins with the backstage rep hes gained as of lately or the feud to be dragged out longer. Rhodes has had a great year too and has made the IC title seem relevant. Â Nash/Hunter - Will be good to see Nash in the ring but not digging the stipulation. Ideally we would all like Nash to get the win but it look's like this will be the last chapter with Hunter going over on a very bland feud between the two. Â Barrett/Orton - Absolutely don't mind seeing this match. For some reason it seems fresh, yet this was the feud we saw last year, maybe because Orton was abit bland last year and overshadowed by Cena's involvement? Anyway should be a great Tables Match between the two. Â Triple Threat WWE title match - No doubt about it I can imagine this being a good one. Punk retaining and a nice Punk/Miz feud to start 2012. Â Potential tag title match - I'm digging Epico/Primo and hopefully they win the gold if they decide to pull this match out. Haven't digged "Airboom" since their formation and can't stand Evan Bourne. Â World Heavyweight Championship - Big Show has been good this year and his feud with Henry has done nothing but suprise me. I'm a fan of both and don't mind who wins it they both deserve it. Should be interesting to see how they take advantage of the chairs. Â Ziggler/Ryder - Does anyone think they're gonna drag this out till WrestleMania?
